Mate, Google Translate, not to be confused with Apple’s Translate app, is your friend. It can translate on the fly from camera, phots, etc. it’s been a godsend for me traveling around SE Asia.

What a beautiful museum. Even as an old single retiree, that would be the big draw of living in Thailand, not the nightlife as so many (too many) go on about. Maybe I'm odd but I value cultural things and the people above all else.

Have you been a naughty boy? I thought you had stopped making videos as I hadn't been notified for a month now, then this one came up, but when I looked I saw that you had made three since the last one I had seen!!!
You said you were from Sarf London, where about? I was born in Yorkshire but grew up in Sutton, from the age of 3 until I was 28, and my (Thai)wife thinks you sound just like me!😂

When you said Steak and Kidney , I was thinking Fray Bentos, they have this in Australia, brill even better when you go to a traditional bar and they have it on the menu, Jacobs Creek in Australia the cheap version is about $15 or 8 quid, I started my apprenticeship initially as a shipwright and Teak was the top of the chain the god of wood, beautiful and brilliant aroma, that was many years ago, when I come to Thailand I marvel at this, best example I have seen is the old town in Koh Lanta, its all trendy now but the old buildings are still there, worth the trip, Rama 9 was like our Queen is today , revered around the Commonwealth as here in Australia, he alleged to have kil@@@ his brother. Yes James Mark Wiens is a dick

Glad you're enjoying the new Lotus's. Those small ones are good but one thing that lets them down for me is their bread and baked stuff. A few years back when they were Tesco, the big stores had great bakeries and bread selections but now I find most 7-11 shops have a better choice. Otherwise, they are pretty good and local. Enjoying the walking vids by the way too. Just watched the one where you walked past the badminton hall 👍🙏

The business group in the CP Group. owns both Lotus and 7-11 Yes, they have good management standards and have the advantage of capital, Therefore, they can sell at a price that is less than or equal to that of a typical community retailer, with cool air-conditioned rooms included in the sales service, Yes, I'm going to say that community retailers are slowly dying because of these convenience stores with more and more….and more every day, Money does not circulate in the community, but instead flows into the pockets of a single group of people…. it's sad🥺

Nice visit to the museum I also love wood and we are doing a renavation here and the plans are for lots of wood in the new bitof the building.
I by no means am a royalist but where we live you can see everywhere the good the late King did and he certainly left a rich legacy behind. We paid a visit to his late mothers home in Doi Thung and she was an ordinary person that married into the royal family and I think she had a major influence on him as she seems to have been a wonderful caring lady who never lost the human touch. Thanks again James.

Look in the west….those big shops arent good for anyone….they wipe out mom and pop shops then get a monopoly and fill there bank accounts making it impossible for any shop to compete then they come for your kids education….

Lotus's looks like a great addition to the neighborhood. Perhaps a few Thai reading lessons are needed. The museum is a good attraction in town and the local market make Tak a good stop.

What a wonderful man King Rama 9 was, he is truly missed in Thailand. I am sure the Thai people would not be suffering like they are now if he was still alive. I really hope Thailand can get back to a place that they enjoyed when he was alive.
