I just use the extra baker's to hold stuff. For example, one of them holds all my freezable stuff. I just stuff his inventory with the frosty stuff and then put him in a box.
Also makes moving base super easy. Just stuff 3-4 of their inventories and shove the book in your mini bike. You can keep your entire base on you if you want. Which is sort of appealing, as it lets you roam around.
I like that t4 apartments in normal games, break the plank path, reinforce the pylons and it's a good early game base. I've done that one on day 1 before.
