If we went back to everyone having a backyard garden combined with eating in season and eating locally, food waste would be significantly reduced. I personally will NEVER eat anything covered in Apeel. Always follow the money and people who support and fund the companies and products.

I did see an "Apeel" sticker on a piece of produce. Organic produce can NOT contain pesticides BUT I heard organic CAN be coated with apeel and still be sold as organic.

God did not create food that destroys the environment when it breaks down. The idea that fruits and vegetables harm the environment when they decompose is absurd. Efficiency and self-renewal is natures design.

Most farmers markets now are not run by farmers…they are run by produce middlemen…and they collect produce from many sources in other states and bring to the market. The farmers arent there and the sellers at the market know nothing about how or even where the produce was grown. And the grow your own food advice is complerely untenable in many parts of the country. Also it is advice given by people who have never tried to do it.

The purpose of Apeel is not to benefit the public in any way, it's to make more money for the food manufacturers. It means that what we buy from supermarkets might have been sitting on their shelves for several weeks instead of days. It means that our food will be even less healthy and life-sustaining. Food waste is due to poor management – the foods no longer viable for supermarkets to sell could be given to those less well off, but these large companies are not interested in helping the poor, they're only interested in profits…..that's why this unnatural coating 'apeels' to them only. They couldn't care less about the health of the public and, needless to say, Bill Gates is backing it:
"James Rogers, CEO of Apeel Sciences, a California-based start-up company, agrees the planet is producing more than enough calories to feed everyone. But he believes technology can help resolve some key issues, particularly food waste.

His company produces a plant-based coating that comes in powder form and, when applied with water, can double the shelf life of fruit and vegetables without refrigeration so farmers in remote areas can get them to market without spoilage.

The coating is being tested on mangoes in Kenya and cassava in Nigeria, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation." (Reuters, 2018)
Do we really want to consume produce that has been sitting on the supermarket shelves for twice as long as it already does? Anything Bill Gates is involved in should be a red flag.

I rewatched today’s interview and it was so good! Dr Weiss’ explanation of a-fib hit home for me. I have a-fib. A tiny bit of brandy and a lot of stress proceeded my first a-fib episode. I also found the discussion about Apeel very informative. Thanks Dr Weiss and Chef AJ!

Dr. Peter Rogers has a new video also explaining that some of the ingredients are actually toxic. He shows a label using the name Apeel that was on an ad from that company.

I also have a 65 yo friend who recently developed atrial fib and had an ablation procedure at Stanford. His cardiologist said Covid infections appears to have increased all sorts of CVD (MI, pericarditits and especially a fib). He did have a Covid several times before developing this.

Remember that movie they're trying to kill us… doesn't matter what race we are. Very sad. 😢 I definitely need to get to know the farmers at the farmers market.
