well damn, this was helpful the directions not so much, I sat there waiting for the timer to start going down and nothing was happening for like 10 minutes and they made it seem like it was going to happen quickly, so I started to get nervous and turned it off! well so much for making dinner in it tonight, back to the oven I go…..

Thanks so much for this! I was afraid to use it. My sister was burned badly while using a pressure cooker years ago. It exploded and she ended up in the hospital for months. Hubby got me one for Christmas and my nerves are shot 😂

Picked up an Instant Pot Duo SV two days ago & I'm ready to bring it back. Very frustrated about not being able to put the red ring around the cover. It came loose & I'm suppose to install it.

I agree with Digna. NOBODY that I've watched so far has shown putting the lid in the side slots nor the the cord in the back slot. As this is not shown in the manual, I have no idea how you figured that out. I have done the trial 3x now & each try was different. On the first try the pot didn't warm up. On the second it warmed up but it sat for the longest time & I didn't know what to do, so I opened the vent & took the lid off. On the 3rd try, after the 2-minutes cook, it started counting down 6 minutes & I had no idea what was going on so I cancelled. At this point I'm scared to do the frozen chicken I was planning on using. To compound the problem, I froze the chicken in the package & the leak pad on the bottom refused to come off the chicken & had to be soaked off in cold water. When I poured the water off , the sink wouldn't drain because the horrible pad dissolved into god only knows WHAT. After getting the soak pad off, the chicken still couldn't be pried apart. I sure hope I will learn how to cook one of these days.

This is from an 86 yo live alone guy still learning new stuff. Teacher girl, you have the "it" teaching gift that many academics with impressive letters behind their names wish they had. And you're too cute! You keep on learning new things, simplifying them, and teaching them and you will make the world a better place. God bless you.

Thanks so much for your video. We have had the IP for some time now but was reluctant to get started for not seeing a first hand demonstration. Liked and Subscribed and will look forward to more tutorials.
