Thank you for showing that little piece of cardboard under the baking tray. I also didn’t see it the first time I took it out and ended up accidentally going through with the test run with it inside 😳 saw your video, opened it up and there it was 😬. It was producing a burning rubber/plastic smell. So thank you again!!

Great review–love that you mention things that other reviewers don't, like the reason for having 5" of breathing space around the appliance (i.e., using a thermometer to actually measure the temps).

Thanks for the demo. I just used mine for the first time I made empanadas. They tasted great but fried? Not so much. I usually bake mine and they tasted like when I bake them in the oven. I will try fries next.

Mine is the stainless steel front…but is called a vortex 6 qt plus 6 in one. Which is hard to fine anything on it…I picked this one as I love my Instant pot…lol But $180 plus taxes in Canada…so nearly $200.

Please never be concerned about getting lengthy. Clarifying each step and detail helps hugely!! Thank you for being so very comprehensive, and for showing each step. Sometimes these instructions aren't clear. I truly needed to see everything you did, and at the pace you did it. A speedy demo wouldn't have helped me. And I love your demo style. I felt as if I were in a friend's kitchen as we set up and tested this together. You…are appreciated. 🙂

is the vortex plus 6qt worth the additional money or is the vortex 6 the best way to go? i've looked for the answer to this question everywhere and can't find it. Instant Pot didn't help by calling 3 different appliances pretty much the same thing! Thanks for your help!

I just got this exact one as a Christmas present and I too couldn't find any recipes for it not any information. I tried fries and chicken strips, came out perfect. Great video.
