Hey! I love your recipes and tried this one out! On my first attempt it burnt – thankfully the pot turned off by itself and let me know! I tried it again with three cups of broth and that worked out much better! Thanks! It was delicious!

Hi Poonam. After watching all of you videos I decided to invest in an instant pot. The first dish I tried to make was this risotto.
Unfortunately it did not go well for me, I found I had a slightly burnt the risotto. My biggest challenge has been the measurements. I live by myself so was cooking for one. I have a 6 litre instant pot. I had reduced the amount of stock, onions, pesto and rice, but everything else, including time I kept the same. I can't work out if I should have reduced the cooking time or had more stock. The other thing that threw me was that amount of time it took the pot the build up pressure. It was the first time I had used the instant pot and for a while I thought it wasn't working. I think it took about 5-10 minutes for the countdown to begin. Is that normal?

Please can you provide with some guidance as to what I likely did wrong and also advise as a general rule when following your recipe what should I do differently when cooking for 1 or 2 people.
