Thank you so much for the tutorial! My rice came out amazing!
I have a 8qt pan when I opened after 10 mins the middle had some wet sticky spot I assume this is where the condensation drops back into the rice. Is this normal?
Update. I know what I did wrong. I did not strain the rice completely before adding the water 😩. I will try again
Mine doesn't say manual, what do i push?
How long does it take to cook the rice?
Oishii! Please show more Japanese cooking with Instant Pot. I just purchase my first IP and love cooking with meals in my IP. Thank you.
I am going to try this tonight!!!! We just got an instant pot over Christmas ~ Thank you!
Fantastic video, appreciate you demonstrating! Tried to make 3 cups last night and it turned into a disaster but I forgot to rinse the rice first. Was too much like a paste. This morning I found this video. Now it makes more sense. To be clear, is that 10 minutes after it goes into keep warm cycle?
Here I am all this time using the rice button on my instant pot… I'll give this a try next time. Thanks
Ooh, gonna try this next time I forget to cook rice.
Lovely!
Nami-san, in your opinion, is a high quality rice cooker worth the money? I have looked at the fuzzy logic Zojirushi cookers with the idea of using more rice in place of other starches. Would you share your opinion, any personal experiences and recommendations with us please? Thank you!
Few foods are as appealing as a fresh bowl of rice. Ahh.
2 minutes? Mine has always taken 6 minutes.
Kore wa to-te-mo oi-shi-i desu 🤓
Just another great video.
FYI YouTube has just stopped to send me your notifications. Although I always hit the like and leave some message, the algorithm seems to be unbalanced somehow…. I admire your hard work . Let’s get going !
I usually wash my rice in the colander under running water until the water comes through clear. I'm surprised you did not show this, as it is much easier. Surprisingly, my soak and drain times match with yours.
I use Nishiki Brown Rice which takes a longer soaking period (30 min) and cooking time in the Instant Pot.
Happy Thanksgiving! By the way, the photo on the Japanese Rice looks like the rice section in New May Wa at Clement St in SF.
I'm making rice with Instant pot almost years. It's taste better than any.
I love all your videos! Have a great Thanksgiving Nami & co.
