Hi Melissa, thank you for this recipe. I have tried to make pinto beans in the IP twice now and my cooking liquid comes out super dark, almost to the point of unappealing to eat. I refry separately in a pan away from the cooking liquid but my beans still look dark after I refry them. I am not sure how to fix this problem, have tried using lighter beans, buying fresher beans but I still have the same problem. I know the IP infuses the bean stuff into the liquid but we are just not used to how it comes out thereafter compared to stove cooking method. Will try soaking first maybe next time. If not will just go back to the old way of doing it. Thanks again, Gina
