Iโm obsessed with Alcatraz stories. We donโt live far from San Francisco, I love taking the red and white cruise to the island. Iโve watched so many shows and Iโm a compulsive reader. Alcatraz and Titanic. I watched that movie the night before we left for a cruise to the eastern islandsโฆnot such a good idea. We had a blast though
Years ago, we would go to my grandmothers house for Sunday dinner and god forbid Lawrence welk show. We did not have a tv until 1969. My grandma had a color tv in the min 60โs. I want to try this recipe but we donโt eat pork, nor do we eat much red meat. Not for religious reasons, because I just donโt like pork. We could try beef ๐ฅฉ I suppose, we got an instant pot . I have a great and only recipe we make. We pound out chicken breasts, put a string cheese in the middle, add a few pieces of spinach. Roll up, pin with toothpicks, put chicken in bath of egg white, then roll in Italian breadcrumbs. Iโm not sure if the recipe was in the booklet or my neighbor gave it to me. Cook on 350 for about 30 minutes. Iโm kinda afraid of it, my hubby does the cooking, I just put it together. My mom used to use a pressure cooker and we had to leave the kitchen.
This does look good, maybe I will try the pork. Itโs an au jus.( what you made) ,look in the directions, I think that is where the chicken recipe came from.

That pork roast dinner looked scrumptious, I can just imagine how sweet/tangy/savory that sauce was. Congrats to the t-shirt winners! I always enjoy Mail Call segments, love seeing the cards and gifts sent by viewers who adore you. (and I always love seeing what new card Jay has come up with, his cards are always fantastic)

Also, after you return from your honeymoon and things settle down a bit, would you consider doing another little apartment tour so we can see how you decorated the new place? I noticed that shelf you put up in your kitchen over the food prep counter, it looks SO NICE!

Also, as a side-note, consider rotating your instant-pot a bit to ensure that the escaping steam does not hit that shelf above upon quick-release. Otherwise, over time (but fairly quickly) the steam will likely warp the shelf (and possibly loosen any glue used in it.) ๐

Most people don't know that the Nazis also used the guillotine – often on political or religious prisoners. I made a pot roast in my IP yesterday. Very yummy and so much easier with the IP than when my mother made it on the stove top.
