Instant Pot Paleo Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

Coat the bottom of a 3qt Instant Pot with:
    1 T Olive Oil

    Layer:
    1 Garnet Yam, thinly sliced

    Mix together:
    2 sticks celery, diced
    2 medium carrots, diced
    1/2 sweet onion, diced
    3 medium garlic cloves, minced
    1/2 t oregano
    1 t chili powder
    1 t cinnamon
    1 drop cilantro oil
    Salt and pepper
    Ground lamb
1 jar Tomatoes (I forgot this!)

Then add to the pot on top of the yam.

    Top with:
1 small Delicata Squash (or a 2nd yam), seeded and halved

Put the lid on and make sure the valve is set to “seal”.

Set on High Pressure for 3 minutes (two might actually be enough!). Allow the pot to release pressure naturally when finished.

You cook the way I do! You have sold me on the instant pot! I checked the mini’s wattage useage as only 700W, so my solar will handle it easily, especially since it takes such a short time

Looks good! I think the reason yours was a bit overdone at 3 minutes is because the pot started heating up before it shut itself off due to the lack of liquid so it was basically preheated when you did add the water. Love my Instant Pot, always look forward to your IP recipes!

It looks. very very good, but it is not Shephards Pie at all, it is like a hamburger stew. But whatever it is, it came out delicious. I do not own an Instant Pot, i live with my daughter, and just for the two of us, another big item to put away…. I have not yet decided, but after looking at your recipe, and for only one person…. makes me think…👏👍🚐
