For more great Instant Pot recipes, please visit InstantPotEasy.com

We bought ourselves an Instant Pot because we wanted to see if it really was worth all the hype. We each cooked a recipe to test its ease of use and durability.

Thanks for the video! I have a regular stove top pressure cooker that I use all the time in our apartment, and I'm wondering if the fact that instant pot is electric makes it that much better for RV living? Like would using an electric pressure cooker make a noticeable difference in saving cooking gas from not cooking on the stove? But then if you're boondocking, you can't use the electric instant pot, right? We plan to live in an RV eventually and we're figuring these details out. Thanks!

I don't know, I think if you cook the rice in a regular pot on the stove, at the same time as the veggies in a regular pot, it would be much faster overall than the Instant Pot. You'll have an extra pot to wash.. no big deal.

we got the large Instant Pot and everything we have made in it we love. The baby back ribs are to die for. The hard part is getting them out of the pot since the meat is falling off the bones. We then put BBQ sauce on them and broils them just a few minutes.

I started out with a 3 qt, then got both the 6 and 8 qts…had all three going strong this past thanksgiving with 9 lb chicken, 6 lb turkey breast, and the last with sweet potatoes. Meats stay so juicy. I LOVE my iPots for soups, Mac and cheese, wings (then finish off under broiler for crispiness), potatoes, roasts, rice…looking forward to making a cheesecake in it and lasagne. I like that there’s only one pot to clean and very few extra pans used for cooking. I also see it as an electricity saver since the stove/oven doesn’t have to go to work.

I have a rice cooker that doesn’t pressure cook but it has settings for slow cook, soup, rice – quick, white , and brown , oatmeal , wArm , and delay timer – I use it all the time at home and it might just find its way into the RV for traveling !

They work great. A lot of times I have to give my instapot a shake and the pressure tab will pop up quicker. Not sure why. I have used it to make a chicken cacciatore and a chicken salsa recipe both on Pinterest and both recipes are fantastic. I would recommend Pinterest to experiment with instapot dishes. I have the 9 qt so holds a bit more and look forward to more fun and delicious recipes. .

You’re correct about HEB. They are only in south and central Texas. HEB is a family owned grocery chain. I’ve lived in central Texas all my life and never realized how special HEB was until family and friends visit and all want to go to HEB….lol. HEB also owns Central Market.

Good video! If you like curry you might also like butter chicken in your instant pot. I make it weekly. 10 mins to cook, 10 min natural release, then I open valve to quickly let out remaining pressure. Many recipes online for butter chicken. They are very simple meals. I have 2 instant pots but have only taken one when RVing. Might consider both next time because I exclusively cook breakfast in an electric skillet and dinners in instant pot. Don’t need anything else to cook in.

I threw away my slow cooker for my 3qt Instant Pot. The vegetables taste so much better when "Natural Release" is used. Amy+Jacky website has a great recipe for the most tender chicken I've ever cooked – poached in the Instant Pot with apple juice.

Guys, the only reason the size of the pot matters is for the size of the meal you're cooking. Other than that, you can use any size for whatever you're making. You made it sound as if cooking a recipe made for a larger/smaller Instant Pot would get different results. I can tell you from experience that this is NOT the case. Thanks for your video.

YES IP is very useful it is definitely worth it. Save money on electricity.. can cook outdoors so won’t heat up the house. It sips electricity. Food’s great. Got 3Qt and 6Qt and 8Qt. Use em all the time from making ginger/cinamon stick/cardamon/whole clove water no tea drink daily, bake cakes, make bryanni … turned off the sound by holding down the minus button till it says snd off

I use a large one, it is fast for a bulk cooking activity, and then I store the leftovers in single serve pyrex bowls with those rubbery lids, in the freezer. I enjoy mine very much.

We have a 6qt Duo Plus that I use at least once a week in our home. The down side of watching your video is that I realize that I need to buy a 3qt IP for the RV as the 6qt IP is huge in comparison. Good job!

I make curry and rice all in one. Curry ingredients in bottom then the rack and the rice and water in a metal bowl on top of the rack. I use brown rice which cooks in 22 minutes and also a 6 qt. Then NR for 10 minutes and dinner is served. I’ve made vegetable curry and also butter chicken this way. So less than 45 minutes in total for dinner to be served. Love my instant pot.

That is so much better than the boiling, and geeting inside condensation. I am hooked up to shore line currently, so the dehumidifier goes when I cook, or raining. I wonder how fast that would drain the batteries, if the generator wasn't going (but the solar is). Great video, thanks.
