I placed frozen broccoli, green beans and carrots in the bottom of my 8 qt. "Instant Pot". Placed about a 7 lb whole chicken with the giblets on top of the veggies. Added 3 cups water. Cooked on meat setting for 1 hour and let it depressurize for 20 min. Release the rest of any pressure before opening. Fall off the bone goodness and also had a quart of healthy bone broth to give to my dogs. They had their meat and tasty veggies to eat. They LOVE it. OH..

I have a new Instant Pot but I’m afraid to try it out! 😳 This might be my first attempt though as I have 2 Toy Poodles to feed. When I read the contents of even the expensive food (Science Diet) that I’m feeding them it’s full of fillers that do just that! Fills them up with no nutrition! My oldest Poodle Bella is over 11 yrs old & overweight. The baby, Stela is 2 and she weighs 4 pounds, fully grown but she has stomach problems. I’m going to give your recipe a try except I’ll only add a tiny amount of corn. Last night their snack was tiny bits of apple $ they begged for more but I was afraid to give them too much just starting out. My Vet says to give Vella all the green beans she’ll eat as a snack as they’re low in calories & very healthy for dogs. Both Bella & Stella love canned green beans & canned carrots as treats but I try not to give the little one too much due to her sensitive tummy. Before my Husband passed away 6 years ago, twice a week he’d boil up chicken for Bella and she lived it. I bet you could use chicken in your recipe too! Thanks for sharing your idea. Let us know how your dog does with it. You may want to put less corn in, or maybe it won’t cause any digestive problems at all. I never thought of canning but it is a great idea, although it might be easier to freeze! I have MS/Multiple Sclerosis & I don’t drive so I’m at the mercy of my 2 adult kids to make time to take me to the store. I’ve been ordering their food online with free shipping but it just kicks me when I read all the junk they put in the pet food these days. Yesterday I found a recipe for home made dog treats! This has been a great week for finding healthy ideas for our fur babies! Thanks again & my apologies for typing so much!
