Did you know that Instant pot says using a towel or other cloth over your pot when releasing steam will void your warranty and recommends using a spoon with hole in handle that comes with the pot ?

Great video and suggestion with spare sealing rings. (I've been cleaning mine with a touch of white vinegar but will by some.)

Like an idiot, me, an experienced cook, poured the liquids TWICE into the inner container not the stainless steel container!

so you have to wash the sealing ring does that take out the smell.
And you say to use manual and adjust the time but how do you know what time to set it for?
Also you're saying the presets are all wrong? Very confusing if you're a beginner like my family
I would figure the presets would be easier then guessing

This was super helpful! I just got an Instant Pot for Christmas and this was more helpful than the manual. Thank you!
I had no idea about the sealing rings, but it totally makes sense. I'll be picking up a couple extra and a steaming basket, too.

Ty for that very informative video. Im actually using the instant pot for the first time. Its confusing at first, but your tutorial really helped. I think Instant Pot should include much clearer instructions on how to use..commercials sell it, but they are responsible for it. Its a good product but hard to learn how to use it, lol

Actually I do have a question – have you compared this to the Breville Slow Fast Cooker? I've narrowed it down to these 2 models. Also debating between 3 quart and 6 quart. I cook for myself only, sometimes 2.

Great video but just a quick FYI – hardboiled eggshells peel off just like in your video when you boil them properly the traditional way too lol… not just because they were steamed in the instant pot.

I can not watch that video, she does not know what she is doing and advising completely wrong and unhealthy things to do. People can have health issues from her idvices and nobody will know why do I have headache, or feel nauseated.
    1. That original sealer that you replaced was made purposefully for cooking with food, those colorful sealers that you purchased from Amazon is just from China. This is no anything colorful for healthy cooking.
    2. That thing that you called a "Steaming Basket" did you check from what material made from? Is it specific steel for cooking? Can you warm it up with a food? Many of those Steaming Baskets made is China, only God knows from what material.
    Cannot watch her video, sorry…

Thank you Olya! I've just purchased IP Instant Pot 60 DUO Plus (2017 made). However, I noticed that there is a newer version – Duo Nova (2019), that has an instant sealing lid and extra sealing ring. I am so new to it and was wondering if it make sense to exchange the purchased one for an updated version? What would you say? Amazon is really good at exchanging now. Thank you.

Hi Olga, thank you for the great video. I bought Express Pot 14-in-1 Multi-Cooker Electric Pressure Cooker. Is it actually an instant pot? All these names are so confusing! haha
