LOVE LOVE LOVE my instant pot!>>>ur2.pl/1046 It is definitely not a necessity for everyone, but it has certainly made my life easier. I think the 8 quart version we got is maybe a little large for most people's needs, but I really appreciate the versatility of being able to put a larger quantity into the pot – it's made dishes like stir-fry and rice possible to cook at the same time. If you're on the fence about what size to get, or if you should get one at all, I would say go for it!

Hi, I'm a black Friday Newbie. I'm following along. A couple of questions – my quick release valve is very loose (outside) is this by design/normal? And during the high pressure phase there is a pretty consistent stream of steam venting through the valve. Is this also to be expected? Thanks for making your videos!

Thank you. I gave thumbs up & subscribed. If I do the "Natural"..do I wait for the float valve and then the front of the machine to say "0" minutes? Or do I just open when float valve pops up? Or does it go into the warm mode after valve pops & I press Cancel? I have never used mine & am going to do this tomorrow. Thanks ~

Hi Cynthia! Glad you found the video helpful 🙂 At first it is normal to see a bit of steam escaping but once pressure has been reached and the silver pin has come up you shouldn't see any steam. A couple things to check: Is your valve on correctly and pointing to Sealing. Is your Sealing Ring in securely. Sometimes it just needs a bit of a jiggle (lol yes technical term :p ) give the lid a bit of a jiggle and see if tat works. If not, contact Instant Pot customer service 🙂 They are pretty great at answering questions and they may need to send you a replacement~~~ Happy cooking! you're gonna love it!!

I just got an instant pot. Thank you for your clear and helpful demonstration. When the pot is coming up to pressure, I have steam escaping from the part where the pin is. Is this normal? Once the pin has popped up, I still see steam escaping from the vent. I had thought if it were sealed, I wouldn't see any more steam. (I do have the valve in the seal position.) Is this normal? Thanks for sharing your experience.
