Too many chats.
💕 Hi Sandy. I went and bought jars because of your video. 😊 I couldn't remember what size you had, and I ended up getting 8 oz jars. Which I'm fine with. I was curious about the sterilization of the jars. Is that very necessary ? I don't really think I'll have mine around more than a few days to week. And I was only going to make 2 or 3, and share them (and a cheesecake) with my daughter & son. I know they'll love it ! Thank you ahead of time for any answers you can give me ! Take care, & thank you so much for your video ! You have such a calm, soothing voice. 😍👋🏼
Does anyone know how long this will last? (In fridge of course)
I have never eaten that before, but it looks great and your family must really love it.
If you twist your can as you stop pouring, it will eliminate that string.
Do you know you can even make your own sweetened condensed milk?
Can this be microwaved to thin out for drizzling over desserts?
What are your thoughts on adding Vanilla Paste and could it be stirred into the can before pouring into the jars prior to pressure cooking?
Thanks !
Ooooh kay
Yes obviously she doesn’t have much canning experience. Once the pot has released pressure (totally NR as any help with the QR would blast the jars to bits), it is safe to remove them and let them finish cooling on the counter. You should have a towel on the counter so there isn’t any shock to the jars. There were may more errors, too like you should "vent" sream (out of the steam vent) for 10 min before sealing the valve. One last thing, if you live above 1000ft don’t do this as you need 15 lbs PSI. The Instant Pot only does 10lbs PSI. Be safe & read up on canning techniques.
These would make great gifts.
I love your voice. Every time I’m looking up a recipe with search and hear your voice, I let out a sigh of relief, because I know it will be a good tutorial!
I did mine EXACTLY like yours, but I have the 8 qt duo plus, it came out overdone and lumpy. Any idea why? 28 minutes manual high pressure, 2 hour natural release, then cooled on the counter. I don’t get it!
Great video! Good on ya for being brave and making it happen! Can’t wait to try this recipe.
Hi do you know how to add flavors on dulce de leche? like chocolate, or mango or vanilla? hope you reply! thank you
yum……yum……..yum….. Can't wait to try this in my Instant Pot, yet I'm afraid of just eating all 4 jars with a spoon! 🙂
It's just cooked condensed milk. Which tastes good even when not cooked.
How long does that keep for?
You said that after timer beeps, you turn IP off and let it NPR release and sit for "quite a long time" before removing jars . What exactly is your definition of quite a long time?
Do you have to use wide mouth jars? I have some pint jars but they have regular tops.
