Instant Pot Chicken Bone Broth is the quick and easy way to make bone broth. And with these step-by-step instructions, your bone broth will gel every time!
Hi Sweet Friends, Today I am making Chicken Bone Broth in the Instant Pot and I share 3 TIPS to make sure that your bone broth gels every time! Love, Mary
Mary are your chicken feet organic??? Do you worry about that??
I never knew what bone broth was and I’m a bit confused. I have always boiled my chicken bones for stock for maybe an hour and put it in fridge to remove the fat and it jells every time. After I remove the fat I have to reheat it to be able to pour it in the IceCube trays. I pop them out and store in baggie in fridge to use in soups, etc. is it just stock or bone broth because it jelled? I’ve never added vinegar either.
The chicken legs were purchased at our local Mexican Market.
Oh my gosh! I made bone broth in my instant pot for the first time. I did exactly as you said and added turmeric and ginger. I also cooked it for 3 1/2 hours on low. It ended up like jello! It is sooooo delicious. Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Hi sweet Mary. I recently learned about the awesome benefits of bone broth. Made 3 successful beef batches, but my chicken never gels. I found your channel and followed your recipe (including feet). I am happy to say I got the same results you did. I absolutely love my Instant Pot and will be trying your other IP recipes. Your method of relaying information is, by far, one of the most enjoyable I have found on YouTube. Your a natural. It's obvious you love what you do and it comes through. Besides enjoyable, I find your episodes quite calming. I did subscribe and shared with my mother your wonderful channel.
I did it on high and and got a pretty good gelatin. My local Asian market sells chicken feet by the pound.
Mary, what do I do with all the chicken gel? Do you have to put water in it when you go to use it?
What happened to the mealthy pot?
Hi Mary, I've got a question and a suggestion😊. Question: How long will the broth stay good in the freezer? Suggestion: To add flavor, I am thinking about using a hand blender to puree cooked vegetables into the broth. (I do this with carrots when I make soup because my son doesn't like the texture of cooked carrots). I'm going to give it a try one of these days😊.
Hi Mary, would Red Rice Wine work as the acid in place of ACV? Enjoying your videos. Thanks.
Mary, great trial, no error! LOL Does your Instant Pot have a 'slow cooker' setting? Mine does, but I've not tried it yet.
Omg, you're such a sweet lady! <3
You have sealed and ceiling settings. Choose wisely 😉
My ultra instant pot has the option to turn down the temperature. I'm wondering if you had the ultra and turned it down to 180 and maybe cooked it a bit longer how it would work with getting that full gelatin jiggle 😁 like you like it. Just a thought. I know the last thing you want to do is buy another instant pot right now… But, if you do, I would go with the ultra. I'm wanting to upgrade to the ninja foodi as soon as I can afford it. It's a wish list I'll probably never get, but, 🤞
My beef bone broth is very gelatinous but my chicken wasn't as much. Would breaking the bones help expose the morrow?
Seems like if you increase the time to 3 hours you might get more of the collagen out.
Can I use chicken cooked in the slow cooker or in the instant pot?
Thanks so much Mary.
Your video is the only that used low pressure. Do you think cooking it longer would make I'd jell more? I would love to can it. Would that destroy the jell? Would it still have the same benefits? I enjoy watching you. Thanks.
Mary, my slow cooker has 3 settings: low, medium, high. Which one should I use, (on low it doesn’t seem to show slight bubbles as when on med)?
I am going to can it, how long do you can and what pressure? Chicken bone broth.
You are such an amazing teacher, Mary. Thank you!!!
I had to look up your post and thank you. For my 60th B-day I bought
myself an insta pot and started doing bone broth with your guidance.
OMG! I can't believe the dif, it has made for me. I work in the wall
tower of a state prison, to get to my lofty post I have a 67 step spiral
stair. My knees used to get so agree at me, After 2 weeks of B-Broth I
have no pain! I can't say thank you enough.

I never separated the fat from the broth before. Why is that important? I didn't quite understand. Thanks.
Your smile and enthusiasm is sooooo heartwarming!!! I love how it is clear that you love teaching others!! Subscribed! ❤️❤️❤️
You are wonderful! The whole video you had me smiling and laughing a few times! Thanks for the tips!
I am about to do a crockpot and Instant Pot bone broth to see the differences. (I have SO MANY CHICKEN BONES!)
Unfortunately I didnt see this video before I started, but next time I make both I will totally insure it with chicken feet.
Once again, this is a very helpful video. Thanks, dear friend♥️katie
Have you tried the slow cooker feature on the instant pot ??
for your acid can you use preserved lemons? if so how many lemons and wold you add some water with the lemons?
Nice to see the instant pot was a huge success! Nice that you can set it and it has the right temperature and also has pressure to boot. I do like it although it's pricey so have come up with an idea I will try for my next batch of bone broth. This one will be put in the steam juicer that reaches steam temperature of 120 degrees F (100 degress c) plus. The trick will be to keep the temperature to simmering, as I would like to harvest as much gelatin as possible in the first round. There will be no pressure like the instant pot so will need to keep checking it. My hopes are up that it works though!
Thank you for another wonderful bone broth video, blessings!
Hi Mary , I made bone broth finally lol I got 2qt out of it , did it with my instapot on low for 2 1/2 hours ,I got a whole chicken no antibiotic s free range . Added a few carrots & onion .and Mary if I showed you the broth you would not believe how thick the jell was ,out of all the videos I watched on here , sorry even your s I never saw the jell like this if I turned the jar up side down I bet it would come out in one piece! I was so excited my hubby thought I went nuts ! Lol and it was delicious and a light brown gold color , can’t wait to do another one ! Please Mary sorry if I sound crazy , iam a 73 year old lady with arthritis, on oxygen 24 / 7 have IBS , hurting most of the time so I get excited for little things , anyway you told me to keep on trying and I did , so thanks a lot 🥰😁🌈 ps oh I got that same fat separated you have can’t wait to try it . 😁 God Bless
I just cooked a whole chicken in my instapot no jell 😢 , I only cooked it on low for a hour and a half , thinking maybe I should have done it longer .now I have to try it again , I will make chicken soup with the one I already made .
I’ve been binge watching your channel, especially the bone broth and fermentation episodes. I found chicken feet at the store on Friday and by Saturday had made a lovely batch of chicken bone broth in the IP thanks to you!! Thank you, thank you for taking the time and sharing all your wonderful knowledge with your audience!! 👍🏻🙏🏻❤️⭐️
Can you make bone broth with a whole organic chicken in the instapot ?
Hi Mary! Love your channel. I put the pressure on high for bone broth and the feet and bones break down more and broth is very gelatinous. I have done it on low when I am in saving mode and then I can use the bones again. Either way, it turns out very gelatinous and is rich and delicious! Love the details and fun approach you have to food! ❤️
Hi Mary. My Aunt told me about your channel. I am loving all the wonderful information, thank you so much! I am cooking my bone broth in the instant pot as we speak. My question is, were you able to get a second batch? I think I'm going to try it because we go through chicken/bone broth like crazy.
