When you take a leek, make it braised. Basically a giant scallion, leeks are one of the most spectacular root vegetables around – especially once the true …
I have never tried Leeks before, so I gave this recipe a try, all I got to say is do yourself a favor it is amazing. I’ll be eating these the rest of my life
One I’ve never had leeks but bought some and I’m definitely trying this! Thanx!!
I can't believe how many instant pot recipes I have typed into YouTube search and your channel comes up. Better yet, it will bring up a whole page of choices and usually I don't look at who's video it is, I go by how it looks in the picture and how they worded the recipe title to pick one to check out ….. it's your channel 75% of the time!! Thank you for how much I have learned about my instant pot from you … thank you for making awesome food (and not the same old same old) and thank you for sharing it with us!
Sweet. I just planted these in my garden this year. Yummmyyy
The green is fantastic. It is sweet and lovely.
The green parts are most definitely edible!! The green leaves are actually more nutritionally beneficial because they contain higher amounts of Iron and Vitamin K
Those leeks were screaming for a few cloves of crushed garlic ! 😁
You need to chew your food more than THREE TIMES before you swallow….gross!
I just bought some leeks to find a recipe for and , by George… I found it.
Dude, you are a Godsend
Haha, I clicked and a content warning popped up. I was so confused until I realized it was an ad. I was like “he’s making leeks, why is that concerning?!? Lol!
Keto friendly…thanks, Jeffrey!
Just made! Omg! Sooo good 👍🏻👍🏻
I just made these and they are so good! I've never had leeks before but I'll try any recipe you recommend and am I ever glad. I'll be making these often, I just love them! Thanks, Jeffrey. ❤
Jeffrey, this is kinda off topic but I thought you’d be happy. I’m the one who wrote you and told you how excited I was to learn to make yogurt. Anyway, I’m currently watching season 12 of Heartland (it’s a tv show from Canada and one of the VERY BEST shows around). The character “Mitch” just brought out a SOUS VIDE! I was so excited cause I knew what a sous vide was! Thank you! They haven’t brought out an IP yet but still! It’s so cool!
Thank You for this recipe! I've only tried cooking with Leaks a few times, and did not know what I was doing. I will definitely make this to go with sauteed chicken.
Jeff, would you please do a good vegetable soup. Love your channel .
Thank you
Best way to wash the leeks is to slice them and separate the rings.
I bet that would work for asparagus too, or maybe artichokes
Potato leek soup!!
New sub. I have never had leeks, I know right. I plan on getting my instant pot and trying most of your recipes. Thanks for your trial and error efforts , so we can enjoy the best.
Man…. Making me think “Leek Soup” watching this. Looks fabulous!
Excited to try this!
Oh Jeffery, I was going to use that line, "I'm going to take a leek" and there you go saying it, haha! It looks delicious and low carb, win-win!
Hmmm… sounds Delicious! But don't quit your day job Jeff! You wouldn't make it in the Improv…LOL
I have recently learned to never throw away any part of a vegetable that you cut off. Keep a bag in the freezer for storing the parts and use them in stock. Leek tops would be a wonderful addition to any soup or stew! I do the same for bones from steaks, ribs, etc., for bone broth. You can even save potato peelings, carrot peelings, celery bottoms, squash ends…you name it. (I would not use corn husks or veggie stems, but I would save the cobs from cutting the kernels off!)
Looks yummy! I might add a few whole cloves of garlic, too.
Thanks Jeff for this video and recipe…Love the channel…
My name is Leek, it rhymes with squeak.
Love all your videos. Cheers from the Hoosier state!
Looks great, I’m going to try this one as well
Great side dish would love to see more receipts for side dishes. Keep them coming and thank you for the wonderful receipts.
Tasty tasty
Wow! What a great idea, I love leaks, I will definitely have to try this.
Are Leeks the same thing we called scallions, or are they two different type of plant or onion? Nice presentation, they look good, can't wait to make them in my instant pot….
the tops are similar to the green part of green onions. just as edible. thinly slice (i do bands and then squares), fry in a little oil (not long, but the oil should pick up the flavor), and add to eggs or bread or grilled cheese or breakfast croissants
Nice and easy thank you!
Jeff, what do you pair this with or do you just by themselves?
