Made this tonight and added some cooked bacon pieces! Delicious! This was by far the easiest one to make and of course I added more cheese because I am a cheeseaholic! Thanks for another great recipe!

I've learned alot about my new instant pot on your chanel. Thank you. This reside inspired me to go a little further. My husband and I are KETO, so I used heavy cream and melted a half block of cream cheese in the soup. I also made it more like a stew by adding chicken and bacon and one diced up orange bell pepper. Husband said it was the best ever. Oh ya, I also used extra sharp white cheddar.

I just made this, I thought it was really really good my husband doesn't love broccoli but he loved this soup! I cut my broccoli up more because I knew he didn't like big chunks and I didn't really need to mash them then. I also recommend using the sautee button to cook it down more mine was a bit to runny for me. He loves his with noodles in it, how would the cooking time change if I added them?

I made this soup camping and it was a hit, my only problem was that when I added the shredded cheddar the cheese got all weird. I even grated it in the camper and it was a good brick of cheddar??? hmm. My husband and daughter still liked it even with it looking clumpy.

Question that is off topic. I'm not that experienced with the instant pot yet but wondered, if I cook black eyed peas with ham hocks, can I put a raised trivet over the peas and do the rice above it? Recipe calls for 30 minute and a natural cool down. Will the rice turn to mush? or will it survive?
