I normally make pea soup of our leftover Christmas ham on new years. I was sick this year so didnt make it. I did save the ham bone. I think I'll try your bacon version. I'll just make stock from the hambone. As a native New England gal I'm fluent in Southern New England lingo. Yes is looks wicked awesome. You had me with "buttah". Lol

I'm not a big fan of this soup either. But then one day, I had a bowl of the most incredible tasting split pea soup. That was it. Now I'm on the search for a recipe like it. Plus it's a good way to get those veggies into my dad. He's worse then a kid at times. I'm glad you changed your mind and made the video. Us old people like the old fashion soups. Lol

Your last comment, "the bacon! Don't tell my Rabbi!" 💁‍♀️ too funny. Better hope he's not watching. Lol

Just made this recipe…..Amazing!!!!! I left out the Sherry wine and the cream at the end of the video and it still was to die for. Lots of flavor and delicious! I've made lots of split pea recipes over the years and this is by far the best and easiest so far.

Just had a bowl of this. It was so so good!! Great flavor, it was a tad thick but was easy remedied with a little more broth.
This is for sure a keeper!!👍

If I were you I’d skip the 2 min intro and periodically add in whatever info you want throughout the video. It’s something I’ve noticed the pros do and it keeps the video more interesting. Thanks for the recipe man.
