I mean, with how much I love Chinese food, are you surprised I’m making Lo Mein? 😜 This is the spaghetti of the Chinese-American cuisine and chances are if you head out to your favorite Chinese joint, someone in your party’s gonna order it! It’s crazy easy to make in the Instant Pot and the flavor really comes together so magically. I decided to use Beef for my protein but you have the power to use any meat or seafood you’d like OR just make it vegetarian!

1st of all, I'm a huge fan of your videos and the instant pot… I'm a single guy, 50, and I love fast cooking ideas… I've cooked a lot of your recipes and have loved them all. However, I'm confused about all of these noodle styles and brands… Rice, wheat, cold /hot… The Eastern world has me all confused on noodles 😉… I know spaghetti, macaroni,, and ramen… Lol… What's the best noodles for a traditional lo mein dish, you know, the kind of Chinese noodles that stick to your ribs… 😂🤣😁??

I absolutely love you! I got an instant pot as a gift and it's been sitting for months in the box because I didn't know how to use it. I stumbled upon your videos looking for recipes and I can't wait to try them! Especially the MS Pot Roast, stuffed cabbage, and apple crumble.

I'm from Hawaii and love my Asian food (ours is even mo betta than the authentic style because of all our fusion) and I gotta say you nailed the sauce flavor with the Shaoxing wine, shoyu, and oyster sauce. The best oyster sauce to use by far is the Lee Kum Kee Premium version (you know the one with the mom and son and oysters on a boat). There's a reason why it costs so much more 😉 I normally just use sugar but I might just try using hoisin sauce next time. And that was genius using the cole slaw mix btw; I will never cut them by hand again lol!!

However, I think I will probably pass on this recipe though… I think lo mein/chow mein/fried noodles really need to be made with a wok and sesame oil for the right texture. There's just too much liquid using the instant pot. Plus I would use char sui pork instead of beef ~ less liquid. If you haven't used char sui yet, you really should try; they add an additional sweetness to the dish.

After looking through several recipes online for an Asian dish using pancit canton noodles of course I ended up here…why didn't I just start the search here? smh… I'm bummed the noodles can't cook with the meat and veggies but thankful you saved me from a stupid mistake. I work with a delightful lady who was born and raised in the Philippines and she pronounces is pon-sit. 🙂 Thank you for the recipe, it will be dinner tonight. You are awesome!

I have Filipino friend she uses those noodles and they are DELICIOUS . She cooks pancit with those noodles. I just purchased a Instant Pot and I love it. So many dishes you can make. Walmart had a sale and I want to thank them for the sale. I love cooking and to add the pressure cooker is a all new ball game. Making great dishes with cheap cuts of meat. I LOVE IT!!!

I love this cooker!>>>ur2.pl/1045 I grew up around pressure cookers in the kitchen, and knew of the danger that they could blow up if not properly taken care of. This cooker almost makes it impossible to fail. The fact that it's electric was originally why I was attracted. I usually prepare meals on Sunday for my husband and I to last the week. This cooker has made it possible for me to cut the cooking time in half, without changing the quality of the meals. It was a great purchase, I'm happy I did it.

Jeff, I added flax seeds and topped it off with those La Choy chow mein noodles for extra crunch. Hope I didn't break any rules? If I did what's my punishment??

Made your beef lo mein tonight exactly as you wrote it (well, I did half everything because I have a 3 qt Instant Pot). My husband enjoyed two large servings! It was amazing! I am not going to question your ingredients now, haha.
