My sister uses hers all the time. There was a recall on some of them but I don't remember the reason. Those were the ones that were overheating and weren't working the way they were supposed to.
The first time I used mine I was nervous, I opened the little flap to let the steam out and it really comes out fast LMBO but wow the food is yummy. And your right Sherry, it does not blow up. It's really fun to use.
