For soup base I use different products. For chicken I have the carton and cans, and also have the powder stock base. I use it often. For beef and vegetable I have the powder as I don't use them as often.

I keep both chicken and beef base on hand. You are right, I never kept enough of it in containers. I also think the base just tastes better
