I have a better camping stove, it is called a penny stove. It normally uses aluminum cans cut into small sections, you will see when you look it up. Plain alcohol for fuel and you could use any tin can under the pot to hold it up. Water and any dry food stuff works great in your own take home food pot instead of the Chinese one. I like foil sealed stuff like spicy tuna to add to noodles. Any packaging that has a low waste profile can be added. You can make any kind of back packer stew with it, it just takes a little thought about the packaging and what you want to eat. I normally would take an old coffee can because in CA there is lots of dry wood and you can make a small wood stove without fuel if needed using dry wood instead of fuel. One full penny stove will boil a cup and half of water no problem. You can do anything with boiling water.

Love that! If you had cucumbers to slice up and some other raw vegetables to go with it then it would be a good sized meal. If you had some raw eggs you could even put those in there to cook with the food, too. That looks like a lot of fun.

Wow, that's totally amazing, the atmosphere, the food, and the creativity, the next best thing to bringing a portable camping stove. I have not seen anything that heats up safely without fire. I guess you could have added a little more water.

Dude that was an amazing setting. I miss falling asleep to the sound of water and frogs since we had a pond growing up. I think this is a cool experience to watch you two have a sit down time alone from a restaurant and just eat some food.

Hi Joel and Li 🙏❤️. This was so different and cool, best Chinese MRE basically. Something about instant Asian food is so much better. The Western MREs tastes kinda like dog food. Never liked those. When I'm not in the mood to cook I buy a similar brand of instant noodles and hotpot and we have that for dinner with added fresh veg and shrimp. I use the spicy, sour veg one. Has pickled veggies, soup base , noodles and tofu. Have a super amazing day. Many blessings 🙏🙏🤗 The ration heater contains finely powdered magnesium metal, alloyed with a small amount of iron, and table salt. To activate the reaction, a small amount of water is added, and the boiling point of water is quickly reached as the exothermic reaction proceeds.

Sabaidee Joel and Li! Awesome location. If that's you're idea of camping, then I might actually want to go camping. Haha. I'm not a chemist but my guess is the bag works like hand warmers.
