Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays to all of you! Thank you for another great year on YouTube. You're the best audience in the history of the site. Here's to a Happy and Healthy New Year, and we'll see you on the other side. Enjoy!
Been a while since we had a round the outside, round the outside, round the outside. Love it!
This looks amazing!!!
I didn't have this cacao rouge (and had a difficult time finding it), so I used regular cacao powder and dark muscovado sugar, and it turned out great!!
Thanks for the recipe, it will be a great gift for unexpected winter visitors.
Merry Christmas! π
Looks delicious βοΈβ¨
Merry Christmas & Happy HolidayππβοΈπβ¨
Chef John, made this tonight for Christmas Eve. DELICIOUS! I kept the rest of the mixture for future mugs. As always, thanks for making our lives better. Happy Christmas and wishing you and all of us a year that progresses us rather than oppresses us.
Made this and it is delicious. I did however add an extra cup of sugar to the mix! I like it sweet and it equaled out to about 1 extra tbsp per serving.
A slight variation that is worth a try: for the spices: a good dash of ground coriander and a small pinch of cinnamon ( for each cup). Cinnamon is a much stronger spice than coriander, so a smaller amount means you can still taste the coriander and it doesn't get overpowered by the cinnamon. Coriander brings out the citrus notes of the chocolate, which is then complemented by the cinnamon. Yum! But I like the sound of the one in the video. Think I'll give it a try. "Variety is the spice of life!"
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to my favorite chef and his family.
Looks delicious!

Ty so much and have a merry season to both of youπβ€
This is definitely a case where the cayenne pepper adds a huge value to the recipe. Cayenne and chocolate are amazing together.
Well how about adding a bit of cornflour to the chocolate mix just to give the milk the slightest bit of viscosity to give it a more pleasurable experience?
Hahaha Eminem
Thanks for the great idea! I just made this today. Sipping it now with a splash of spiced rum tossed in! π
Only he would use Cayenne in this but it makes everything amazing so i don't doubt it for a second.
Try it with one or two drops of Tabasco sauce instead of kayan.ππ₯΅
Well I hope Hershey's works because I do not think I will get premium chocolate by delivery in time to make surprise last minute gifts.
Good lord that's a lot of sugar though.
Children would like this at a christmas party in a pretty glass cup for the chocolate. Halfway full knowing children will spill. Party dress and tables as tradition. π
This looks good! I'll see you this afternoon!
Haha wasn't expecting an Eminem reference.
Happy Christmas all!
Espresso powder would take this over the edge
I bet this goes nicely with a shot of rum or bourbon. You know, for that festive touch. π
Could possibly be made keto with allulose and sukrin gold and almond milk. Maybe add a little molasses for the sugar free brown sugar. Canβt wait to try it. Looks delicious. Would be a great gift. Chef John Thank you.
