My understanding is most of the Vit D we get from the sun is absorbed by the eyes. I stopped wearing sunglasses some time ago. A lot of gardeners sing the praises of gardening barefoot and I'm going to start doing that a bit.

I'm not skeptical at all at the healing properties of our earth and sun and nature – that our Lord created for our benefit!! I'm much more distrustful of the pharmaceutical industry and allopathic medicine.
God gave us all we need to heal our bodies, from the sun, to the earth and its rocks and elements, to plants and trees. I feel like Christians are skeptical because they don't want to have anything to do with wiccan or new agey stuff (rightly so) – but I think our adversary does all he can to keep Christians hesitant to embrace what the Lord has provide for our health and wellbeing.

I go barefooted as much as possible! So I guess I’ve grounded all my life! I’d rather be barefooted than have shoes on! Lol ,when I was a kid during the summer, I didn’t own a pair of shoes! That’s probably why I have so many calluses! And dog poop between my toes ! Yuck !

You're remodel looks great! My husband and I try to soak up the sun on our 0 gravity chairs. We do barefoot in the grass whenever we can, and gardening here in another month. It has something to do with neurons and electrical charging that benefits the body. We like being out in nature and praising our Lord for what He gives. Love the wonderful ideas you share for your meals. God bless you both❣️

There are times that I go out barefoot and feel a lot of tingling and energy. There are other times I don’t feel it as much. I figure there’s times I need it more than others? I also have noticed that since I have changed my way of eating (keto/carnivore), I am not nearly so sensitive to the sun as I was. I rarely burn and I am in the sun quite a bit. These things make me feel more connected to nature and God as well. 🙂

It’s a blessing to be out in God’s creation and enjoying the beautiful weather and surroundings but if it becomes someone’s “religion”, instead of being in God’s word and it goes overboard, I am skeptical of that. Speaking of blessings, how blessed you are to have the lake house. I imagine it might get busy and noisy in the summer but now, how peaceful it looks. Your kitchen is looking great and when it and the painting gets does, the weather should be perfect for you to relax and enjoy. Bet you’re looking forward to getting on your paddle board!

I've been carnivore for a couple of weeks now and feel so good. My plan is to stay on track until July 1st.
Love the bacon idea with green beans, always loved all vegetables roasted.
Can't wait to see that window wall painted, it's going to make a tremendous impact on the room. Love all the updates.
I agree with you Paula, I just marvel at God's creations and his work and grace. I've been working in yard this week barefoot, such peace. ❤

Dr Janine talks about grounding. I grew up running barefoot, but seems I always gotta have flip flops now. I have been thinking of making it a point to take my shoes off. I love walking outdoors in the sun and praying. Our neighbors had two big turkeys who were knocking on my door one morning. Lol! They were so cute, but they ate one at Thanksgiving and the other at Christmas…❤✝️ They have ducks and chickens, too.

I make a similar recipe with country style ribs. I put them on foil and sprinkle generously with my own spice rub, cover and cook at 300 degrees for about three hours. I do a big batch so we can eat from them for several days or I can freeze some. Your green beans look great!

Hi Paula, I am in Florida and love it.We purchased a second home 2 years ago. I also live in Upstate New York. Being in the sunshine is amazing. It changes everything for me.I feel so energized. I have been here since Dec and will return back to Ny next week. The sunshine feels great,I do not want to return to Ny because it’s still chilly there. I walk about 3 miles a day. I feel the difference between upstate and Florida. Mentally and physically.
Have a great day as always. Hi to Ed,I don’t want to forget him.

My blogger handle is Barefoot Lily Lady for good reason—I garden barefoot 90% of the time. There’s just something wonderfully calming about the grass and dirt beneath my feet. I loved hearing all the birds singing as you walked today. What an incredibly special place you and Ed have to experience God’s handiwork. ❤
The meals ideas you shared looked delish! I am going to try your idea of cooking bacon over green beans.

So happy to see the remodeling looking so fantastic. The clutter is always a bother but oh boy the end result is going to be so worth it.
I have had to readjust my keto lifestyle after a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s disease. I had been experiencing some odd symptoms including unexpected weight gain and extreme fatigue. I am following my doctors’ advice and treating it with mega doses of supplements, changing up my exercise and modifying my diet. It’s still early days so not much relief yet although weight is slowly changing for the good. Life is a challenge. Actually one of my daily routines is to sit in the sun and ground. It’s a beautiful practice and one that certainly brings peace.
Hope all is well with you and Ed. Serphra is looking snazzy. Those turkeys were so pretty strutting around. Spring is so magical. Big hugs
