When Pap doesn't need to add salt… is there any higher level to get to? You could make a rating system based on how much salt you added or didn't, with zero being the tops. Glad the superior chili outdid the bland rice! Thanks for this Pap!

Shrinkflation, is evident in most food & drink products these days 😡
Have you seen a Mars bar or Marathon (never gonna be Snickers) recently?
Fun size springs to mind 🙄

Ah yes Pap, this works out as such much better value for money than a Stagg Chilli does, as not only is it a cheaper all round product but you get rice with the thing as well! Adding the cheese was also a nice touch, will have to get myself involved with this one at some point I think 👍

As usual no heat but for a quid it’s a bargain even if they have sneakily reduced the pack size. Can always add chilli powder though and I’m loving the cheese idea too.

I used to have this back in the early 2000s but they suddenly added baked beans and completely ruined it so I stopped getting it, but looks like they've sorted it out now so I'll give it a try again. Probably have to throw a load of pepper sauce over it though.

In plain rice I always add knorr aromat seasoning or kucharek vegetable seasoning. Both available at asda and are fantastic alternatives to plain salt. Great review as always papp 😆🤣

I think you're on to a winner here with this Con Carne. For £1 it's a decent feed. Yes you're right about it being a Tex-Mex origin dish. Maybe it's a result of the Alamo. The truth is, Texans don't add beans to their chilli beef. It was the Mexicans who are responsible for the adding of beans, then of course the Texans claimed that too. Con Carne is not to be confused with 'Let'm Rip Boys' (Blazing Saddles) Cowboy Stew, which contains a copious amount of beans, but no chilli.
As I whistle 'Texas Rose' and remind myself of that reply to "Does my bum look big in this"?
    As big As Texas!
I'll thank you Papp for another great review today.
    Cheers 👍🤤😀

Funnily enough just bought this, the chicken curry and the spag Bol at a quid each. To counter balance the saving I spunked a whole £3 on the new festive feast cathedral city cheese Toastie. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Absolutely incredible value! That is a mere $1.79 AU. You would simply never even come close to discovering such a bargain in the ready-made meal section of any supermarket down here! I absolutely love the way that you say “trey” btw. It’s lovely. Très bien révision, John! 😊👌

Always ruin a chilli by putting them nasty beans in….There needs to be a beanless chilli put on the market and not just the tinned Hormel stuff that cost the earth here in blighty 😣….*rant over* 😁😝

Can't go wrong. I love chilli con carne 😋I think that's really good for the price. I would probably add some reaper flakes halfway through heating it up to give it a nice kick. Great review Pappa 👍
