Yep. "Tuna Toasties" favorite mom made lunch in the '60's-'70's. Only made with Duke's mayo and pickle relish. Still make for my adult kids, grandkids.

My mom used to make the tuna pasta salad too. ๐ Man, I haven't had that in YEARS. We made it with elbow macaroni tho. (I think they were cheaper than bow ties, growing up)
I still love a good tuna melt every now and then. I typically make a tuna salad instead of straight from the can. The Texas toast was a good choice.
We had that cold tuna noodle casserole also growing up. Mom always served it w/ BBQ potato chips.
Some hot sauce on the tuna but under the cheese would have put that over the top! Love it! lol right after i comment hot sauce out it comes

Please NEVER use โstarkist tunaโ EVER!!! It is so very awful canned Tuna. The absolute best canned tuna is from Trader Joeโs! This is a night and day issue. Dog food vs a kings food.

I'm glad that you enjoyed the tuna cheese on toast (and the video). It really is an easy dish to make. I also appreciate you shouting out my channel. I've been trying to get back into making videos as of late. It's just a matter of finding the time to film/record and edit them.
With all due respect, I'm not a spicy/hot sauce guy. But if I was to make a suggestion, I would suggest adding the hot sauce to the tuna before adding the cheese. Either poured onto the tuna, or mixed in with the tuna.
