Food is definitely getting too expensive. So expensive we've started growing as much as we can. If we had a yard, I'd get chickens. A kilo of the cheapest beef mince used to be $7.50. it's now nearly $15. And cheap bread used to be 50c, now a $1.20

June, could you PRETTY please tell me where you purchased your metal egg flip tool? I used to have one from my grandmother who used it for like 40 years, then my mum used it & me. It died & yours looks the same. Im desperate to find one the same.

I want budget eats episode every week but it just makes me realize that it'd make June eat on budget the whole time 😅.

Also I prefer the normal kinda budget eats where June's not on time restraints cuz she's more creative and calm. This episode was great but just too much of beans n rice.

A summer staple for us is some type of grilled component or full meal to keep the heat of the oven and stove out of the house

June: single handedly making me not afraid of messing up cooking.
When I cooked before, I needed a recipe which I needed to follow-up religiously. June has taught me the fun in throwing things together and that even if it doesn't work, must things can be rescued.

    Low key life changing stuff.

I love you. I hope you never change. You are one of the best Chefs I've ever seen and still you are so down to earth. You deserve to be seen on every TV channel Nationwide. I hope I see you there talking and dressing just like you are in this video.

OMG I was so excited to see a June Budget Eats video posted and it did not disappoint. Love your series June. Maybe increase your timer to 1 hour to give you time for your creativity to shine through more <3 you seemed stressed with only 30 minutes.

P.S. All the varieties of flavored rice looked amazing, I swear I could smell it!!

Your spice cupboard overwhelms me, but it gave me a couple of ideas. How about a clean out the spice cupboard episode, finding ways to revitalize some of those tired spices we all seem to hoard.
Or a how many spices can I buy and use and store properly for $30?
You throw things in so confidently because you know what flavours will be emparted, I look at the saffron and juniper in my spice drawer and wonder why I have it. So yeah, a don't be afraid of your spice cupboard would be helpful. Much love
