I use both types of butter. I put most in the freezer. I'm always buying butter every week. Good deals on groceries. Our Kroger closed over a decade ago and the nearest one is about a 3 hr drive. So, not feasible for us. But, we have a country store close by that actually raises and butchers their own beef, pork and poultry. We try to go there twice a year to fill up the freezer. Never have I ever bought salt free butter. One time i asked my MIL to get me butter fron Sam's Club and she bought be salt free. Ugh, I still have some in my freezer. 😂😂😂😂

To save freezer space, you could also freeze dry all of your veggie mixes for longer storage too

I only use salted butter and if it calls for salt we add it. The amount of sugar in recipes, we never notice the difference

I use salted butter in my baking and just lessen the amount of salt the recipe is asking for. I use to only buy unsalted for baking but it's so expensive for me to buy two different kinds 😅
