Yes it flipping is!!!! I feel despair each week, doing the shop, another set of groceries have increased in price 😪
We're mostly veggie these days as D has been vegetarian for 3 tears now, so that saves some money. And luckily we all love lentils etc.

Thank you for the great ideas, Kerry – I’ll be adding fried rice to the menu plan. Always a great idea to use up odds and ends. Yes, prices have risen so much, even way over here in Canada. It hurts to do the shopping now and it isn’t as fun. I hate cheaping out on groceries, but have no problem buying store brand either. Can’t wait to see your recipe video. Cheers 😀

Tesco's is expensive but you have Quakers oats, named brand tomatoes, tuna. Fresh tomatoes and peppers you could get cheaper ones. Also organic mince and free range eggs and chicken breasts. You could try frozen, I agree free range eggs I have chickens. Could get a big bag of potatoes and make mash and chips. Finest peas as well. So you could cut your bill a lot. I tried asda and their just essential is not bad.

For others trying to stretch their budget, instead of having all mince/ meat stretch it with lentils/ beans or tvp. It does not have to be meat OR vegetarian. bolognese sauce is just as nice with half mince and some tinned or dry lentils. same goes for stews etc

I definitely meal plan, it really helps with keeping costs down. I shop in Aldi as I find Tesco can be a little pricey. Every one has their favourite shops tbh 🤣
Thanks for the meal ideas though. Looking forward to Sunday 🙂
