wonder how foxen would've reacted if he snap all-inned and he had to choose to stay in the tourney with almost nothing or risk losing right there

not really sure what the idea is with all-but-all-in bets, if you get called and lose you're basically out of the tournament most of the time anyway, and if you're bluffing and get re-raised for the last drop and fold you're basically fucked too, so i just don't really get it

is this like a galaxy brain way to induce calls because the other player might think you left a little behind because you're scared of being called (when really that's what you want)?

One concept he makes that deserves extra emphasis:

Big laydowns are a really big part of poker, especially tournament poker, where your stack value is not a linear equation. I've had above average tournament results, though on strictly small events. I have had MANY times where i made a tough lay down, lived to see another day and went on to place in an event instead of busting out. It really helps when the competition is under bluffing, but you still have to find the folds.

Sounds like the two wheel cards were the difference between calling and folding.
The explanation was pretty nice. It shows how, in some ways, it can be easier to play against really good opponents. I am still in the "Does he have it or not" place. I play MUCH lower stakes and there is no way my opponents play optimally. For me, the question is a matter of how the guy plays. Is he likely to fire 3 rounds with AK or not. I am also used to 4 betting be very weighted towards AA, KK and maybe some AK. For all these reasons, I usually fold JJ by the turn and will even fold it pre flop if the 4 bet is large and the SPR is low enough.

Hi Daniel always been a huge fan, what can you say when someone pre flop raises 2.1 blinds someone calls I have AK suited I 3 bet biggish one of the bigger stacks one calls one folds flop is 6,7,A I raise 30% he calls, then is a 8 I raise 40% he calls then the turn is a 9 I check, he jams the last bit I had to call but he shows 10,3 off suit did I play that bad and why is someone even in a hand with that, it was a 80 dollar entry as well.

Ali is unbearable to listen to announce. His pretentious undertones throughout are rough on the ears.

ā€œDo we ā€¦. Hereā€. ā€œCan weā€¦. Hereā€. His little made up terms. Just awful. Nick is great though.

NOTHING to do with the video. I know you're not a circus monkey and I don't expect this to be a thing but it would be hilarious.

The day before the opening of the WSOP, I envision a training montage. You wake up, go to the fridge and drink vegan egg substitute from the container and your eyes flash like a wild man. You study videos from Greg Liow and gasp in amazement like something has clicked and you write down "All-In" and underline it three times. You practice your pimp walk on the treadmill repeating "Limpin' is Pimpin, Limpin' is Pimpin'" As for a soundtrack in the background you have that "You're the Best Around" song from The Karate Kid

there is more but I think I'm the only one having fun with this, so I'll shut up now

Regards Mr. Daniel. If you see this text would like to clarify something. I keep seeing your thinking out loud especially in turn about what range or hands you are putting your opponent in. Won't it be a disadvantage since you r opening up yourself about your thought process ??
