This was another good squeeze spot with a real hand but this time we get 4-Bet by Alex Foxen and a huge pot ensues in this hand …
Love that Daniel does these. But I also really wish Foxen did as well. I want to know what that man is thinking š
You should have raised the flop
wonder how foxen would've reacted if he snap all-inned and he had to choose to stay in the tourney with almost nothing or risk losing right there
not really sure what the idea is with all-but-all-in bets, if you get called and lose you're basically out of the tournament most of the time anyway, and if you're bluffing and get re-raised for the last drop and fold you're basically fucked too, so i just don't really get it
is this like a galaxy brain way to induce calls because the other player might think you left a little behind because you're scared of being called (when really that's what you want)?
seen so many vids i can immediately recognize ali's voice, but still have no fucking idea who the guy that addresses every single statement to "ali" is lmfao
Damn she really hitting the wall
"Floyd Mayweathering the whole thing" i love that quote!!
Watching a finale table in pokergo and you're openly sharing a lot of hands. Do you not care if they get a read on you? Or did you not care as it was the final day?
Lol your video! Can you turn up your input on your audio so it catches your voice a little louder. Canāt hear your explanations super well on my iPhone
What this hand really needed was to be 3 ways, with Rampage having his favorite hand 44 flopping a boat. Then we could analyze which positions he would have doubled up, versus which positions he would have tripled up.
Can someone explain the trend of going all in with the exception of one chip? Does it have to do with being on the bubble or surviving till the next pay jump?
Are there not 6 combos of qq, aa, 10 10?
Easy fold !! š
Question of the day – if Foxen bets 80-100k on the river, does Daniel call?
One concept he makes that deserves extra emphasis:
Big laydowns are a really big part of poker, especially tournament poker, where your stack value is not a linear equation. I've had above average tournament results, though on strictly small events. I have had MANY times where i made a tough lay down, lived to see another day and went on to place in an event instead of busting out. It really helps when the competition is under bluffing, but you still have to find the folds.
Sounds like the two wheel cards were the difference between calling and folding.
The explanation was pretty nice. It shows how, in some ways, it can be easier to play against really good opponents. I am still in the "Does he have it or not" place. I play MUCH lower stakes and there is no way my opponents play optimally. For me, the question is a matter of how the guy plays. Is he likely to fire 3 rounds with AK or not. I am also used to 4 betting be very weighted towards AA, KK and maybe some AK. For all these reasons, I usually fold JJ by the turn and will even fold it pre flop if the 4 bet is large and the SPR is low enough.
Great folds & hero calls make a great player.
Foxen face stone cold, until called on the aces, his eyes starting twitching for a moment š š
Hi Daniel always been a huge fan, what can you say when someone pre flop raises 2.1 blinds someone calls I have AK suited I 3 bet biggish one of the bigger stacks one calls one folds flop is 6,7,A I raise 30% he calls, then is a 8 I raise 40% he calls then the turn is a 9 I check, he jams the last bit I had to call but he shows 10,3 off suit did I play that bad and why is someone even in a hand with that, it was a 80 dollar entry as well.
TY, Danato.
I wonder when Kristen wins does lil alex still make Kristen walk 3 steps behind him?
MasterClass in poker
Ali is unbearable to listen to announce. His pretentious undertones throughout are rough on the ears.
āDo we ā¦. Hereā. āCan weā¦. Hereā. His little made up terms. Just awful. Nick is great though.
DNegs doin' his thing. When he is talking he is reading and no one reads opponents better.
Great fold. Whatās the deal with betting not all in on the river? To do with time banks?
Really amazing breakdown into the mind of an absolute legend.
Damn Foxen is a warrior. He called the JJs instantly
I woulda doubled him up and considered it a cooler. VNH, Dan. You're the man.
NOTHING to do with the video. I know you're not a circus monkey and I don't expect this to be a thing but it would be hilarious.
The day before the opening of the WSOP, I envision a training montage. You wake up, go to the fridge and drink vegan egg substitute from the container and your eyes flash like a wild man. You study videos from Greg Liow and gasp in amazement like something has clicked and you write down "All-In" and underline it three times. You practice your pimp walk on the treadmill repeating "Limpin' is Pimpin, Limpin' is Pimpin'" As for a soundtrack in the background you have that "You're the Best Around" song from The Karate Kid
there is more but I think I'm the only one having fun with this, so I'll shut up now
Daniel – one question please. What would you do if the bet in river is around 90k? TIA Love watching your content
Respect on your recognition that having Ah means LESS likely he is bluffing riverā¦ so many screw this up that pretend to be studiedā¦ impressive play
Why did he keep a chip back and why did the commentator know he was gonna do it?
Regards Mr. Daniel. If you see this text would like to clarify something. I keep seeing your thinking out loud especially in turn about what range or hands you are putting your opponent in. Won't it be a disadvantage since you r opening up yourself about your thought process ??
Good hand, sh*t happens.
Awesome analysis, Dnegs. Loving this content! Thank you!
Donāt you think it would be easier to steal Ukraine aid
Your potential range does seem too strong for him to just keep firing blindly with nothing.
He put him on a wheel. Thats why he folded. Thats what he said in the moment. Dannis honest when he talks about the hand in his mind out loud.
If only Alex would give us his thoughts and analysis on this hand. Obviously without watching danielās video first. Love ur videos Daniel.
Daniel youāre the smartest player!
This commentary is so helpful! Thank you!
ok can someone explain why these tourney players bet about all in and leave like 1 chip – Foxen bet 228,500 and left himself 500 ? why ?
Daniel isnāt T9s also in your range?
How did Foxen know JJs? Damn…
