I set out to start downsizing a couple months ago and did the first round in my kitchen and 1st round of my clothes. I’m just now getting to the second round of my clothes and I am starting to loose steam wishing the process to get to the end result didn’t take so long. Trying so hard to keep the end goal in mind and keep moving forward (ps the donation places are probably like does this women have anymore clothes at home… and the answer is still yes too many!)

Thank you, Dawn, for your encouragement. Five minutes a day, even if it takes a month, is huge progress. Love the approach of a little bit better day by day. No decision fatigue, no overwhelmed feeling, very approachable.

Oh wow, so glad you put this together! Never thought about vacuuming a drawer, but it makes sense. Extra happy that you showed shelf liner paper for under the sink! I would not have painted but will try the liner. Psst. Maybe line the back wall of the corner-ish cabinet to lighten it up also! If you do need an extra drawer, maybe combine the paper bags and plastic bags in the same drawer. And THANKS TO YOU, I now keep some kitchen stuff in the basement!!😗. Like you said life changes ! and I need to pay attention to it and not do things now as an “old” woman as I did as a young mother. Love how you arranged the cake plates. 😀. Thank you for this video.

I have done at least 20 kitchen decluttering and organization sessions and it’s still so messy and cluttered and overwhelming. I have a small kitchen and a family of 6 so it’s my biggest struggle in our house. I’m going to keep trying but I don’t know how you do it! Your kitchen is a little bigger but still! I feel like I really don’t have much haha oh and my kids are much younger which definitely doesn’t help with the extra stuff that is needed when they’re babies

Something you could do for the clear cake stand since you aren't sure if it fits in is take the lid off and then spray paint the base in a color that goes with the other two 😊

One thing I like to do is label my cords. I use my label maker and then wrap it around the cord so it's easy to determine what it's for. It helps so much! I also label our phone cords and chargers as well.

Hi Dawn! Saw this comment below as well but I agree that you could display your bundt cake recipes book on a bookrest on the shelf w your cakestands. It is something you should be very proud of and it would look cute! …And remind some of us that we should buy one from you:-) Hope you have a very blessed weekend!

For the cords, why not stack the phones beside the bins and then there’s more space to separate out the cords instead of piling on top of each other?

My family from my grandmother, my mom, my sister, and I are Corelle people. They are one of the best investments in my kitchen. We all have sets that have lasted over 20 years.

I bought some beautiful glasses, plates, bowls, and coffee mugs from the Dollar Tree ($1.25 each!) and they're heavy duty! I was surprised to see beautiful place settings from the Dollar Tree!

Love my Corelle plates and bowls. I bought them at a Correll outlet for a dollar each for the plates and I spent four dollars each on the bowls. They held up so well and fit very well in the dishwasher. They don’t chip and food always looks better on white plates. Keep them you made a good decision. Not so minimalist but because I found the place it’s such a great price I bought 80 of them and whenever we have a party we never buy disposable plates. Not one has broken and we always run the dishwasher filled with plates and they’re ready for a second round if needed. We also keep a Corel plate +2 for each person in our camper. We don’t like to use paper and the corral plates hold up really well we use the extra two for serving.

Well, I have started the process of decluttering. It feels good but sad. It was helpful when you recognized that some of the sadness is grieving the things we can no longer do. 😥😥 Thanks for that! (PS..I hope you are no longer shopping at Target, at least for the month of June.) 😍

I love Corelle. We had the same set growing up and I've used the same set for.24 years. Some are slightly chipped around the edges, but still usable. We tried to switch to heavy stoneware I was gifted, but it was a moaerable few days. I put them in the basement until I can feasibly donate them.

From an environmentally friendly perspective you could do away with the pods and get a coffee maker. They have really nice ones now! Filters take up a lot les space then those k cups.

LITERALLY, JUST got home from vacation and watched this video while eating lunch before unloading. Now I’m deep cleaning the laundry room and cleaning/reorganizing under the kitchen sink. Love these shadowing videos. Such inspiration. (I can unpack later this weekend. LOL)

I just rearranged my dish cabinet, I have square plates (they fit better in the cabinet) but I stood mine up, cleared up some space and I'm keeping them in place with cheap metal bookends. I also downsized my large serving bowls (also square) no one, unless you entertain large groups, needs as many large serving bowls as I had.
