My Instapot, a more modern version than yours, advertised a glass lid accessory to use for slow cooking rather than the sealing lid.
Is there a significant difference? What is your experience?

To save some time for newbies … The slow cooker option needs some understanding. The LESS setting of the Instant pot using the Slow Cook function = the Keep Warm function on a crockpot, the NORMAL setting on the Instant Pot = the Low setting on a crockpot, the MORE setting = the High setting on a crockpot. Keep the vent open while using the Slow Cook function … or purchase the Instant Pot® glass lid for slow cooking.

Hello I am making corn beef on the slow cook mode on a Duo Evo Plus model. There doesn't seem to be a normal setting-only toggles between low/high. I haven't seen this addressed anywhere. Is this correct? So then I would use the high setting at 4 hours-as called for-plus add 15 min for each hour-so 5 hours-correct? Thank-u

Let’s just say- this is not a replacement for a CrockPot in my opinion. I tried slow cooking some Italian meatballs before a party and I ended up having to pressure cook them a bit to warm them up. They were still frozen after 3 hours on high. It might work better for soups and sauces . I have not tried and most likely won’t purchase the glass lid.
