Thanks guys. I just got some KJ frozen wontons and dumplings, and a steamer basket for my Instant pot for xmas. I make a dipping sauce with that same oil! And soy sauce, vinegar, a drop of honey, Sriracha & garlic powder
He's like shut up & eat lmao
If you use a steamer basket in the instant pot, can you just rinse the dumplings before putting them in?
If you're in Alberta or British Columbia, look for Honest Dumplings!
This was a great video. For those who like a crispy outside, you could oil the surface of a cookie sheet and broil a bit…just watch them carefully.
Great video…Is the valve set to sealing or venting?
It looks like you used normal steam, not low?
Very informative! Thanks for making the video! Just put some frozen dumplings to steam in the Instant Pot for dinner. 😀
use chopsticks double the flavor 😀
Thanks for these tips! I found the same exact supplies at my local Asian store 😂
Worked like a charm on my frozen potstickers. Then I popped them into my Vortex oven to crisp up the skins. #NeverMicrowavingPotStickersAgain
Another idea to give you is that if you would like a little more flavour to the dumplings, instead of drizzling water on your frozen dumplings before cooking them, use chicken broth instead. Another neat idea is to fry using saute mode the dumplings with oil, then pour in water to cover the dumplings either halfway or less, then cover the lid and let it cook covered for a few minutes, then open the lid to allow the liquid to eventually evaporate. The bottom of the dumpling will crisp up but everything else is still soft and yummy. You may also find the dumpling to have a bit of a juicier filling. I do it on the stovetop more, but should be do-able with the instant pot if you play with it and want to try it in a new way.
Great and helpful video
Thanks for the video! Sometimes I have had trouble with the dumplings sticking together, but adding a drop of oil to the water sprinkled over them seems to help with that.
Gonna try it with my frozen Korean dumplings! Gracias!!! Black vinegar? That’s a first for me. Going to try it w scallion pancake dipping sauce as well. Thks😉
What a cute video, you're a sweet couple. I like the pacing, the thoroughness, and the details; I went out and found one of those claws. And LaoGanMa is a gateway drug! Thanks!
I like how 90% of your content is relative and necessary information and then you just leave the 10% of it for fun / personality stuff which I actually enjoyed watching. Thank you for making this information enjoyable to watch lol no bs in it at all.
I’m trying it with a bamboo steamer. 👍🏻
I see you have some dried donggu getting rehydrated in a dish behind the sink – a true Asian kitchen 🙂
You rock!!
I like a little color on my dumplings but hate the mess of browning them on the stove. If I wanted to sear them before steaming, could I add a little oil to the bottom of the bowl??? What do you think?
Is there a difference in time if I am making fresh dumplings compared to frozen?
Why low pressure? Why not high pressure? Thanks.
Hey, this was super helpful! Thank you for a great video.
我一直买不到那个claw. For now I am struggling to get a instant pot or a two tire steamer
Do you think it would work without the bowl if your wire rack wont let them slip through?
That claw sure looks handy for use with my Instant Pot. I'll go to our local Asian store, see what they have.
Thanks for making this video! Very descriptive. Nice camera presence. Good job, both of you.
Exactly the video I’m looking for !
Great vid! Thanks a bunch
Thank you for sharing this! I knew there had to be an easier way than burning them on the stove top 🙂
They don’t stick to the bowl with just water?
‘Bout to steam mini pork buns in the IP!!
I love Prawn dumplings, Nice vid thank you
Thanks this was so helpful!
Wow, so I guess you can steam sio bao in the same method.
Nice! Thank you.
Thank you!!
Thank you!
Wow you even tell how to eat it lol. Cool video
I'm planning to steam dumplings for the first time this week in the Instant pot and your video was full of really helpful tips. I bet the IP was super useful while doing your kitchen renovation. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
