Thank you for your videos Anita! I just love them and I have tried many of your recipes. I hope you will keep making these. I am learning so much from you! Also, you keep looking better and better! Are you still losing weight? How old are you? Thank you so much for all that you are doing to help all of us be healthier and happier! You are a ray of sunshine!!
I had already come up with the idea of adding capers & lemon juice to the sardines which made them delectable when I couldn't stand them before so the pate sounds great.
Love these, thank you! I tried your sardine bites last week in the air fryer and really liked them! Can’t wait to try more of these.
Does the sardines come with the eyes in the tin?? And Anita, if so, do you eat the eyes?
Oh man… Sardine police sounds like the worst job ever! 😆🚔🐟😅
If anyone hates sardines after trying them, I say give them another chance by buying a different brand. Some brands of sardines have that unpleasant fishy taste/odor. Others it can taste like tinned tuna. I personally like King Oscar brand (tiny tots), Wild Planet, and Season brands. I ONLY buy them when they are on sale as these brands tend to cost a little more than cheapy ones like Bumble Bee. Amazon has the Wild Planet brand ones for about $1 a tin when I checked last week.
I was born in Boise Idaho! Our daughter still lives there!! Small world! I know exactly where you went.
These look so great Anita. I love sardines. I wonder how Chris Cooking Nashville spreadable butter mayo that you made would be in the mixtures. It's also really good on your air fried sardine balls. Keep up your great work.👍
I can’t imagine the smell in house of cooking sardines? 😢
Hello Anita! I am located in Delta BC and I'm having trouble finding Allulose – have you been able to source it locally? If not could you recommend a website to purchase it from? (Amazon doesn't seem to have it either).
Thank you!
My favorite sardines are the skinless, boneless in 100% Olive Oil by Season Brand. 😋
I always thought it was "bristling" sardines. Fish with attitude. 😂😂😂I like sardines, but haven't done a challenge. Someday… These recipes are encouraging.
Thank you… love your recipes!!!
I have one of those sardine bags. I even gifted someone with one of them for their birthday. I haven’t tried the recipes on it. Forgot it has recipes on it.
I have several types of mustard in my refrigerator, one is Trader Joe’s Dijon and it does not have any sugar in it. The only mustard that has sugar in it is Inglehoffer’s. Yes, check your ingredients in your packages. I’ve never seen sugar in any Dijon mustard I’ve gotten.
I'm getting old and blind, apparently…did you attach the Melba Toast recipe?
Hmmm….
I wonder if mashing them up, and mixing with kimchi would be a good idea🤔
Hateful words are not helpful. Mean people suck
I love sardines but hate the smell of them. I have to take the can outside snd open it. Ill eat them right out of the can. I have a small l bag to put the can in and toss it in the out door trash can. I prefer the boneless and skinless type..i know the bones would provide extra nutrients but really hate the skin on…blech! 😆 🤣
🫵🏻You call her doctor Boz, pal!
Oh you did. Sorry!😆
I’m interested to know why black pepper disagrees with you. I recently had some bouts of acid reflux and wonder if it was because of the black pepper that happened to be in the new brand of herbal tea I tried.
Thank you for all the good recipe ideas. 🐟I’m trying to acclimate to sardines. We really love the air fried bites! 😋
I’ve never eaten sardines, someone recommended a certain brand which I bought. My husband asked me not to open the can in the house 😂 because guys he works with eat them and he said they stink to high heaven. I plan on stepping outside to try them but I can’t see cooking with them 🤷🏻♀️
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dijon is a vinegar based mustard, no sugar. I think a lot of folks are accustomed to sweetened/honey mustard 🤮
Sardines are the best travel food. At home, i add a chopped pickle slice and two chopped olives to a can (or a tablespoon of muffaletta style olive salad). Yum
Never mind, I found it.
I must be blind but I could not see the carnivore melba toast recipe.
I love the Tiny Tots brisling sardines in olive oil. However, they are $5.99 at my local Safeway in Northern California and at Foods etc. in the same town sell for $3.99 a can! Thank you so very much Anita! 💗
In New Zealand you can buy a pack of mustard powder and make the mustard up yourself, no sugar.
Enjoy your recipes.! Please, where did you purchase the large red soup bowl with handle and lid?
I have found smoked sprats here in Australia. They are so delicious as I enjoy anything smoked.
Anita, i always had issues with garlic especially raw, until I work for a woman who taught me if you remove the heart from the garlic you will not have digestive issues, if that's what you suffer from, try it Btw, you are looking fabulous! All the things you are trying seem to be working!!
Raw garlic is one of the few things that plays havoc with me. I am a bandit for garlic powder or garlic salt as a substitute 😊
Thanks for another valiant sardine effort. You should try NURI Portuguese ones if you can get them ❤
Thank you Anita! You are so kind and I appreciate all you do. I like sardines out of the can but I'm looking forward to trying these recipes. Can't wait for part 2!
I made Dr. Weideman’s soup recipe twice last week. I was quite surprised at how tasty and rich it is…definitely a keeper…thanks for sharing these great recipes today😊
Hello, im from Uruguay, i dont speak english very well. I actually do Sardine Fast for de 4 week and i think sure, i do it for rest of my life !!! I love this !!! Im carnivore, then this fit me.
PS: I'd probably bake or airfry the bacon wrapped ones
Okay, Anita, you got me. I don't eat sardines. Tried lost of times, various types, but couldn't enjoy any of them. In fact, I keep a couple cans in my pantry just in case I get snacky and think I'm hungry. I tell myself that IF I'm REALLY hungry I could eat some sardines. Then, after thinking about it for a few minutes, I usually decide I'm not hungry after all LOL. BUT now I think I'm going to try them. All those recipes looked so good especially the Bisk. Yep, looks like I'm going to be trying this sardine challenge. I'm in.
Thank you for doing this! I love your channel and I love what you share. If I could stop the haters, I would do it in a heartbeat!
My relationship to sardines changed when someone advised me to stop buying the cheapest ones and buy those packed in olive oil! Interestingly, these are not sold in major grocery stores but small delicatessens. And they usually come from Portugal and Spain. Anita, I have also lived in Vancouver and I would suggest walking down Commerical Ave. and checking out the small Italian stores there! This will definitely increase your variety!
You are looking awesome Anita.
Thanks Anita for such inspirational recipes. I’ll definitely try some of these. ❤
How could anybody leave YOU a hateful comment? Seriously. Get a life!! You are wonderful, Anita!!!!
😂 ❤
Trader Joe’s smoked sardines are the best I have ever tried. Worth every cent of $1.69 here in Oregon.
I'm starting tomorrow when my sardines come. Neither week I'm out of town, but I'll do another when I return. 🐟🧈
