Wow! I will try your recipe. Back in the late 1960s a lady who lived next door to us in Athens, Greece would make it once a year. My brother and I would fight over it and my parents never got to have any more than a teaspoon ‘s worth. Ah, good times.

Such a healthy food. The ancient Greeks also made a type as a thanksgiving to the Goddess of agriculture, Dimitra. Many Greeks from Istanbul also make this as do Armenians. I will try your recipe as all of your recipes look so easy when you make them. Thank you. ❤️ From Greece

Yes it is a lovely recipies I loved the details about flavoring of Cinimon and cloves and Rose water . If Pomegranate not available during summer season then we can decorate with natural rose petals and silver foil as available easily in Pakistan. And instead of orange peal using grapefruit or lemon rind can balance the flavours. I love your recipies since many details and useful tips. I also added Milk with cornflour to add taste to the Ashura as was following another Turkish recipe. Best wishes from Karachi a coastal city at Arabian Sea and South of Pakistan .

all of this is reprehensible bid’ah and is wrong. None of it has anything to do with the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or the way of the Khulafa’ al-Raashidoon. It was not approved of by any of the imaams of the Muslims, not Maalik, not al-Thawri, not al-Layth ibn Sa’d, not Abu Haneefah, not al-Oozaa’i, not al-Shaafa'i, not Ahmad ibn Hanbal, not Ishaaq ibn Raahwayh, not any of the imaams and scholars of the Muslims.
