Meh. I made this and found it to be fairly unremarkable. Not sure why it's getting rave reviews.
I tried it without the coconut milk and it tasted great! It is such a great base recipe where you can add veggies and make it even more delicious.
This is now a household staple recipe. Our new favorite comfort meal.

I just made this. My first impression is that it is a bit bland. If I made it again I'd add minced garlic to the onions, a tsp or two of curry powder and perhaps more hot chilies.

I doubled the recipe and it came out mushy. Tastes good though and easy to make. Next time I'll just decrease the water

You know this is British we they yougurt in the chicken.
this dish works very well. had to substitute whole milk for coconut and make a variation of sorts of the garam masala (cumin for mace) and whole family loved it!
