Going to try this today. I think I might, after the cheese is mixed in, let it set for a period on Saute, and make that bottom nice and crusty crispy. Use my non-stick pot, I think.

Sorry, WAY to much liquid. After 4 min at pressure, I did a rapid release, and after 15 sec of steam I started getting slimy pasta water spraying out. Made a tremendous mess on the Pot and countertop. When opened, there was STILL too much liquid in the bottom of the Pot.

????? NEED a super fast response please. Going to put Kraft Mac n Cheese in my 3qt instant pot…mine is going to be simple cause I want to get to know the buttons…. just what’s in the box plus water. Do I still cook it on High for 4 Mins?
Same for if I add meats, like meatballs or hotdogs…is it the same High 4 mins ?????

Because mine is a Mini 3qt, I don’t see a lot of videos on it. HELP!

I made this and it was SUPER stringy. I ended up adding a whole pint of half and half hoping that would help and kept it on warm with the lid on hoping it would melt more, but it didn't and I did less cheese than called for.. 🙁 Maybe that's how it's supposed to be and we just don't like it that way? Either way, thanks for the recipe!

Hilarious, that they call this an Instant pot, and say you can use your pressure cooker if you like. Well the Instant pot is a Pressure cooker.Silly that they want to make it as if it is something else other than a pressure cooker when its not.

Just tried this and my noodles were a little al dente. Worst part was when I released the pressure, I had a geyser of butter water 🙁 Guess I'll wait to add the butter next time…

I enjoyed your demonstration. I'm new to Instant Pot cooking, and I like mac n cheese. A friend suggested I might want to make it in the Instant Pot. I have a question. If I wanted to have a browned, crusty layer on the mac n cheese, does the Instant Pot provide a way to do that?
