    Is the origin of these potatoes Japanese? Because it’s the only sweet potato we have in Morocco! And it’s the one I like after trying the other varieties in the USA.

    I made this today for a Thanksgiving dessert. I was hesitant so I only made a couple, and made puff pastry with red bean filling for most of the people. This was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be, and although I’d had it in Japan and just loved it, I had no idea EVERYBODY would go crazy for it. Silly me. Thank you so much for this recipe.

    I asked my mother if we could do this with american sweet potatoes and she stared at me wordlessly for a few seconds before whispering "do you know how much money goes down the drain by keeping the oven switches on that long? For three potatoes? What are we, Irish?"
