Other than releasing the flavor in the cooking process – what do you use the trimmed cob for that you took out before adding the butter? At the least Id eat what is left on it – didn't know if it might be reserved for a different dish or in a soup for flavor or something. Great video – thanks for making it.

Its always interesting to see how different people wash their rice. Since rice is eaten on almost every continent, its something every culture does differently

WOW! I didn't even know that this combination could be a meal! And I use these ingredients most days! I shall definitely try this one. Thank you again, Nami! Oh by the way. Does the sliced beef cooked with Teppanyaki/Yakiniku Sauce compliment the flavor of the corn rice or was did you just add it as an additional item to the meal?

One of my favorite sick/comfort foods has always been rice and creamed corn with soy sauce and butter. Other than the "creamed" part this is really similar to what I've eated before. I am excited to try this recipe. I saw the video and I yelled "see!! I'm not weird" to my fiancé who had never had corn and rice together before. Thank you for this video. Every one is calming, aesthetically pleasing, and so easy to follow.

I am definitely gonna make this. They had a something very similar in the bento section of the Aeon near where I lived and it was one of the best things I found in Japan. The only difference is there was little bits of pork mixed in the rice and a sprinkle of nori on top.
    Thank you for the recipe!

Omg this is such a funny coincidence, I was just thinking about what I wanted for dinner tonight. I knew I had rice and corn in my pantry, but I wasn’t sure if I could make a dish from them.
So thanks for the inspiration! 🍚🌽

I'm growing my own sweet corn this year and once it's ripe I'll definitely try your recipe.
quick question: do you cook the cobs with the rice for flavor? and than throw them away?
