What are your favorite chili toppings?
Hi Nicole, I just love your recipe. One question: can I freeze it in individual portions?
Thanks in advance π
omg leftovers of this would make amazing chili cheese fries πππ
Cornbread and sometimes sour cream
I'm here to tell you that your chili is definitely, by far, not the best chili. I mean, I guess if you want to think so, by all means. But. no. Yours is not the best.
Sometimes I add green olives. Refried beans to thicken sound great, I like masa also, tomato paste also helps to thicken.
A lot of folks like theirs served with hot water cornbread…
I love adding a can of hominy to the big pot of chili…
Hello there !! Can you please show the recipe of EGGLESS Version of CHOCO LAVA CAKE ?

I make chili almost EXACTLY the same right down to the garnish…lol
Liked and shared. I don't think I ever make chili the same way twice. Yours sounds so. π I like a little spice as I have grown older. Hopefully, it adds years to my life. π₯°ππ Thank you for sharing!

Looks yummy
Sour cream and cheese
What a great recipe! I've learned that after preparing everything on the stove, I always put the dutch oven into a 275 degree oven for at least 3 hours. All the flavors intermingle in the oven and it comes out amazing! Toppings for me: sour cream, grated cheese, and crunchy tortilla chips.
roasting the squash/yams/sweet potatoes first in cubes adds a bit of carmelization and sweetness that pairs well with the chili. I have added cocoa or ground coffee as well. I once used a dark chocolate fruit and nut bar as it was all I had and the sweet raisins and crunchy nuts were a nice addition. A bit of a mole sauce. I like the idea of the cheetos. haven't tried that yet.
I like turning chili into Fido pies
Creamed corn?! Sacrilege!
Beans DO NOT belong in chili. As you said, back in the day meat was expensive, which is why people added beans. It stretched the chili out and was much cheaper.
Looks so yummy
If you want to thicken the chili, simply crush some of the beans already in the pot. They're natural thickeners. Only white, chopped raw onion on top of my chili… that's how my Abuela ate hers. ππ₯
I absolutely loved the chili recipe! Favorite toppings Cheese, plus Sour Cream blended with Cream Cheese, topped with a touch of π₯ sauce!
Roasting the veggies was a new idea for me, BIG THANK YOU!
