I absolutely loved this presentation! I've recently been experimenting with different blends which I sprinkle on things like Hasselbeck potatoes or airfried vegetables so they are crisp and very morish. I have a savoury oats blend too. I have a coffee grinder just for herbs and spices:
    Breakfast oats blend:
1 tablespoon of freshly ground flax seeds
    1 tablespoon of match powder
    1.5 teaspoons cinnamon
Around half a teaspoon of freshly grated nutmeg
    1 teaspoon of Baker's Yeast
    2 teaspoons chia seeds
    1 teaspoon turmeric
1 good grind of pepper (it has piperine which helps in the bio availability of turmeric)
Depending on what is available from my food co-op, various powdered vegetables like kale, beetroot, etc
1/4 teaspoon black cumin seed (Nigella sativa – I grind it with the flaxseed)

I mix it all together and mix it into the oatmeal, add some berries, and a little oat milk if it's too thick. It's super delicious and usually quite green with the matcha powder. I usually use whole oat berries, steel cut oats or unstabilised oats (these make a very creamy mix if you soak them overnight and cook on the stove just so they're hot).
This can be kept in a jar but add the fresh ground flaxseed and black cumin separately before eating.
I feel all inspired to get busy! Thanks as always Chef AJ and Dr True 🙂

The term "chili powder" drives me NUTS. "Simply Organic" sells "chili powder" and if you look at the ingred. list there are other spices ADDED. And then others are mild, med., hot, very hot and even hotter. One can get so LOST trying to figure out just what kind of "chili powder" the person who wrote the recipe was thinking about: Mexican HOT chiles, or Thai, or Chinese, or Indian? So many different varieties and possibilities. I would love to see a show where someone explains about all the different "chili" and "chile" and "chilli" powders and their differences and uses, but I know I may have to wait a LONG time for that…!

A fully stocked spice pantry, for YEARS of supplies, is only about $300, and it's the best money I ever spent. I bought one pound bags of all whole spices I could find, (except things like cloves, saffron those I got by the ounce and gram respectively.) Whole spices are average about $10 per pound, and a pound…..have you ever seen a pound of cumin!?!?!? A pound is SO much! Buy them whole, buy them in bulk, and grind them as you need. Best price! And if you think $300 is a lot, consider, I got 30 pounds of spice! That should last me at least 5 years.
