You are a good teacher and funny, too! Good for you cooking for large groups of people!
I am cooking this for supper but will have to cut the recipe in half for just 2 people. I know it will be really good with brown speckled butter beans a d cornbread with creamed fresh corn. Thank you for this soul food recipe. I am using smoked Turkey wings.
Chris please play some music on your show it'll make it more interesting
Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for this video! I've been looking up different ways on how to make this and literally was ready to cry out of frustration but this video was so detailed, helpful, and gave me hope. I watched another one of your videos and ended up buying both of your books because you are such a good teacher!

I'm Using Grilled Chicken Breast And Bacon
I would really "love" to try this recipe, but all of the grocery store around here only have the inner cabbage no green outer cabbage and they tell me that's the way the cabbage comes to them! This recipe looks so good!
Chris,
I have to say this is the best, if not the very best collard greens I have watched ever being made.
Please thank your cousin Ande of course you for sharing this beautiful hearty recipe.
I do have a few questions for you both
1.When I moved down south from Pittsburgh area.
I used to see the guys putting hot sauce and vinegar on their greens. You never mention that. I was wondering can you let me know about that ?
2. Did you ever chop up one green chilli or more and add it to this recipe or were those omitted in this recipe?
3. Do you recomend using only the red flakes or both?
Miss Chris how are you? I love your recipes
i still would put the head cabbage in last after the meat and other ingredients love you tho !!!!
I rewatch every Holiday Season to feed my family your good recipes. <3
My husbands maternal grandmother who was originally from Alabama used to make this for us in Pittsburgh, PA. I saw her doing this one day and thought she was losing her mind but my husband told me she was expanding the greens because she felt there might not be enough for dinner. Let me tell you, those collards and cabbage leaves were absolutely delicious! The flavor was set off!
Oh Miss Chris! I'm from Chicago and as soon as you said sweet meat, it brought a tear to my eyes! Yes indeed! Thank you and Miss Hattie!
Loved it. I'm gonna use this recipe for Thanksgiving! Thank you
I love cabbage and greens. It's the best combination.
Thanks Miss shy town.
Ms. Chris and cuz ( I think you called her Hattie), that pot of greens looks GREAT and I'll bet they taste even better. Now, a pone of cornbread would top it off. Ahhhh hunnnn. Bet it would. LOLOLOL. Bill D.
Used this recipe last year as it was my first time making greens and dang it was good . So good my grandmother requested I make this year 2019 … so much thanks to you ladies

I come and do your dishes and cut stuff up if you make this for me!!! Yum yum!!!
Does anyone know how much water was used?
This is absolutely some good cooking but I’m confused on how long do you let the collard greens n outter cabbage cook . I really wanna make this tomorrow. Thanks
Ms Chris, just found this recipe. Was going to cook fresh collards this weekend. Changed my mind. Will cut recipe down (4 people). Never thought 2 do this. Gonna be fab. Thank you. 👵 😙 💕 🌞
When I saw the orange colored handles on your pot and your well seasoned skillet I knew. No FF with your videos. Good old 'Baptist' down home cooking! Mrs. GA Land, Deaconess, Antioch Baptist Church Downtown, Houston TX would prepare such dishes all throughout the week and invite me and JH Westbrook over to dinner. Memories.
