I totally Appreciate this recipe, Thank you for not using condensed milk like so many others try to do, I consider that a Lazy way. You did it like my Mom use to make it. Thank you so very much

My mother was a classic Yorkshire girl. Her rice pudding was exactly the same consistency as this, no cinnamon. Unfortunately like any Yorkshire girl she never wrote any recipes down, we have no idea how she made anything.

I love mine soupy too. New subscriber here. Glad I found ya! I’ve been looking for someone who uses less rice because I’m the only one who eats this in my house. Also do you have Pinterest I’d love to follow you on there as well?

I made it for the first time last night, and my husband and I love it! It’s absolutely delicious! 😋❤️ I didn’t have any leftover, so I’m making a double batch as we speak. 😊 Takes me back to when my abuela would make it for us when we were kids. I plan to keep this in my rotation. Thanks for sharing!

Hello. What a beautiful recipe. I made my first last night. Today, gone! 🍊I steeped orange peel with the tea mixture. Added raisins too! Simply a beautiful and comforting recipe. 🧡Thank you so much! Oh! And I made 2 more batches this evening! One with less sugar and the same one for my kidletts! Bless you!❣

OMG I'm pretty positive this is how my mom made this. Seen other recipes including quick, cold, sugar, condensed. But none of them looked familiar. My mother passed away a few years ago and never asked for the recipe. Even the cup is how we ate this! She made this only a couple times a year along with her homemade tortillas since she worked during the week. Thank you for being so authentic and sharing these special recipes.

this looks delicious, it's a great recipe and personally i like the cinnamon sticks in the pudding as we enjoy sucking on them. i just felt turned off when you said people panic when you don't put weighted measurements. if you have people from other countries watching you be grateful and be kind, just say you'll provide that for them and thank them for suggesting and asking.

So glad I found your channel!!! My grandma never wrote her recipes down, so for the last 14 years my papa and our family have gone without her tortillas, bunuelos, and arroz con leche. A lot of your steps bring back memories and are triggering the differences she made. Hopefully, I can bring back a little of my grandma this holiday season with your help! 😉

I use only brown rice so the cooking time is doubled. LOL the infusion you make with the spices is a great idea to keep the "pudding" pretty. I cheated, LOL after I made it. I added a few drops of vanilla extract. a very similar dish was made by my Irish/Dane grandmother for breakfast. she liked to garnish it with a tiny bit of bitter dark chocolate grated fine. she used mugs too.
