i tried this , added a small ceramic container. The unit started smoking and I got E3. The cake wasn't a cake. It was a moist lump of dough that wasn't cooked thoroughly through. So I tried to heat it some more by stopping it. I added more water, as all the water was gone. Then it started smoking again and never timed out. Kept spinning. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT ?

Where is the canning rack available for this model? I just went to the website listed with this video and hit on accessories and the rack and/or other accessories was not there. However there are a lot of accessories available for use with the Insta Pot, elsewhere of course. Thanks.

How to sterilize water in a Power Pressure Cooker XL.

If you ever need to obtain sterilized water, you can use your Power Pressure Cooker XL by doing the following:

1.) Measure the amount of sterilized water you need and pour it into the clean Power Pressure Cooker XL cooking pot. For one gallon pour your tap water up to the number 2 inside the cooking pot.

2.) Place the Power Pressure Cooker XL lid on the Power Pressure Cooker XL and securely lock it into place.

3.) On the lower right-hand side of the face of the Power Pressure Cooker XL push the button that says fish/vegetables steam. A number 2 will be displayed. Then the computer brain of the Power Pressure Cooker XL will do its circling program as the
Power Pressure Cooker XL heats up the water. When ready it will sterilize your water in 2 minutes.

4.) After the Power Pressure Cooker XL has sterilized your water in two minutes, you can use the steam release valve to de-pressurize the Power Pressure Cooker XL. Be certain to place a clean kitchen towel over the valve before you release the steam. It will protect you from the hot steam and your kitchen walls.

5.) Once your Power Pressure Cooker XL has been de-pressurized, open the lid carefully by tilting the lid away from you and set the lid aside. Be careful, the lid may contain some hot water. Just pout the excess water back into the cooking pot.

6.) Now you have sterilized water. You can refill your sterilized gallon jug and use what you need when you
    need it.

Please note you can sterilize glass, bottles, baby bottle, sippy cups, pacifiers, and breast pump parts. In fact you can sterilize C-PaP face mask and hose.

    Would this work? http://amzn.com/B008VCTI8Y

I am not sure if the bowl is deep enough. What is the capacity required for this recipe? This company makes many sizes of a stoneware bowl that is meant to go from oven to tabletop. They call it a "pudding basin," or "steam bowl." I think it might work though the shape is not the same.

This covered pan seems to be for making steam cakes also. But it's more like a bundt pan. http://amzn.com/B009J9BF3O
