Thank you, Melissa! I so needed this! I have a big bottle of artisanal, chi-chi la-la, boutique olive oil that I got from TJMaxx! LOL.
But, I am not purchasing anymore now that I have these options! P.S. I have tasted Melissa's food, and you can't tell that she does not use oil. So, I don't need any convincing to go oil free.

Olive oil actually helps reduce one's risk of developing atherosclerosis (plaque within arteries). It is the LDL cholesterol from eating animal products that primarily leads to the diseases development.
Fat in olive oil is quite healthy for you, but just be mindful of the quantities as, like you said, it contains a lot of calories.

No need to fear fat, just educate ourselves on it.

Thank you so much for this video! I have been concerned about how much oil I am consuming because I eat mostly salads since I went plant based a little over a year ago. My cholesterol levels actually increased since going plant based which I did not understand. I am going to make your Tahini Dill dressing and start using that for my salad dressing. I was buying the best ones I could get (not to mention how expensive lol) that had either olive oil or avocado oil, but I still think they are not too good for us. xo Debbie

This is a great video. Thanks. I grew up cooking with oil. I cooked with oil in my home (and even wrote cookbooks singing its praises). For the last 15 years, I've cooked without it. I get healthy fats from homemade soy milk and flax. It's pretty difficult to overeat those things, but avocados, nuts, and most seeds are just too yummy. I have difficulty self-limiting calorie-dense foods and, therefore, keep these calorie bombs out of my house and mouth. Instead, I use pureed cauliflower, white beans, or tofu for savory, creamy applications. Eating WFPB no O, I reduced my total cholesterol from 252 to 140-ish, lost 45 lbs, and reversed some yucky maladies. Plus, I've never felt better or enjoyed my food more. Again, thanks for a good video.
