I never ate chicken livers cooked like that, but in my region (Tuscany) we use to cook them with capers and anchovies until soft and then spread them on some bread, usually as a starter dish. I’m not the biggest fan of liver in general but they are delicious, I don’t think the liver flavor is too strong.
