I think your journals and crafts make you smile. And just an FYI you make me smile after each video. And I think you have non traditional traditions. Lol.

I’m sure you have traditions that you just couldn’t think of at the moment. With our first child, we had to go to 3 houses on Christmas Day; we were all worn out and needed a pickup truck to bring all of her presents home. When she was five, our second child was due two weeks after Christmas. i had been in the hospital with a severe kidney infection the week before so we couldn’t travel out of town and we were able to stop the insanity. That was such a relief to be able to stay home and watch the children enjoy their toys. Great video.

When you said “ he smokes something on Thanksgiving” I was thinking a whole different thing! Lol I love your sense of humor. My husband and I are like that, we don’t take a lot too seriously. Snoopy is a little sketchy about had me laughing on the floor. Rituals and traditions are important. When we get together we always go down memory lane and all the “remember when’s”

We always piled in the car before lunchtime on Thanksgiving and Christmas days to head to Grannie and Grandpa Henley's to have family time and a meal with mom's family and then on to Grandma Linthicum's for a family gathering but no meal. Grandma Linthicum was a widow and had such a small house there wasnt room for her 4 children and all the children. She did make 3 cakes at Christmas though and after we had finished up at the other grandparents we went there for cake and presents. Grandma always make a coconut cake, a nut and raisin cake ( which was just yellow layers with 7 minute icing and pecans and raisins between 2 layers and all over the top and sides of the 3rd. And her yellow cake with fudge icing. I would love to be able to make that icing!

We ALWAYS had Christmas at my grandma's either the weekend before or after Christmas. My grandma was adamant that we all stay at home on Christmas day. I lived in the same town and she wouldn't let me go over even to show her my presents on Christmas. That being said I spent every weekend with my grandparents from the time I was 4 yrs old until I was 18 yrs old❤
