Looks yummy, I have the instapot and I love it. I got it for Christmas it was my favorite gift. I'm going to try soaking my beans. I cook beans a lot, but the instapot has allowed me to not soak them at all. I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for this video Loraine. Its refreshing to see young people actually cooking from scratch again. You are lucky that you and your husband put yourselves in a situation where less is more. You have more time with your child, and husband and less tome keeping up with the Jones's You are busy with things that matter in life. Like Life itself. God has blessed you.

I rinse my beans, put in Instant pot and cover with water. I try to do at least 3 times the level of the beans. Manual 8 minutes. Natural release for about 10 minutes then open and let rest release. Drain beans, rinse, return to liner pot. Season and cover again with water to cover at least 1 to 2 inches of water. Bean setting for 30 minutes. I have been doing this almost 2 years and stopped isssues of gassy beans. I usually add some taco seasoning, chicken broth then rest water. I add smoked sausage or ham bone also for very good seasoning.

Every time my wife tells me to release the pressure I always use the longest wooden spoon, I burnt the crap out of my hands the first time she asked me to release it. Now I’m scared of it.

Great video! I cook lots of beans in my IP it saves me so much time too. I cook beans to keep in my freezer in 1 – 2 cup quantities so I have beans available to pop into dishes as needed, I do this because we don't use can beans. My husband is on a special diet/treatment for cancer and we don't eat anything out of a can, so the IP has been a blessing. Thanks again Lorain for doing this video. God bless you all πŸ’–πŸ‘ΌπŸ™πŸ’ž

I usually add, carrots, celery, onion, speck to my beans. Once it is cooked and still boiling I put the left over in sterilized jars and pressure can them. They are great for busy days, when I have no time to cook.

Hi Laurane. Greetings from Palm Springs CA. I started water bath canning a few months ago. I'm on my using wather bath caning right now. I don't have an instant pot, and in order to justify dedicating a space to it, I need to know, have you pressure canned with it?
I'd like to try using it to make my mayo Cano beans, which are what my oldest sons wife makes. She is from IJUALA Mexico. They don't eat Tex-Mex beans (refried pinto beans), AND, I'd like to pressure can tomato sauce and salsa.
