I watched another man's video to where he cut the top off this squash and then placed it back onto the body and rubbed the two ends together for a minute or more. He showed that this drew out the liquid from the skin of the squash, which has a side-effect to it. The liquid did indeed bubble and was removed as it oozed out as he rubbed the two pieces together. This liquid does have a sort of anesthesia side effect and can be felt when holding the fruit. Any rate, lots of the comments had a lot of people claiming that the seeds are the best part of the fruit. I have never eaten or even seen one until I went to my local market yesterday and picked one up as a lark. Nice video. How long do you steam the other veggies and beans which you included in your meal? I see some chefs peel this squash and others simply leaving the skin on them as they steam them. I am new to Instant Pot cooking, so I always have to experiment with what others use as to the cooking time that works best for me. I don't like mushy squash, but I also don't like everything too hard, either. Some folk seem to like using the zero setting on the Instant Pot. To me, that results in a more crisp or hardened result and I am not prone to liking that either. Thanks for posting the video.
